Isn't there a MAC game tonight?

Funny how the MACC falls to the background this year since 5 of us are going to bowls. . .

Really more of a scrimmage, isn't it?

Here's a question ... do you really want to win the MACC and go to Detroit or would you rather lose the game and have a chance at California or a bigger payout?

Just a thought...

Would you rathr see Miami pound TU into dust, or would you rather see them make them their collective woman?

That's a toughie...

I hate the University of Little Detroit.

I can at least respect Miami as a school, which I can't do with ULD. The Miami fans have been gracious and friendly these last couple of years, plus they can form complete sentences and give good wine suggestions, which ULD fans can not.

I would rather see Miami win, even if it adds another title than see ULD win and match our total....until next year.

I'm with Nathan on this one...hate to see Miami get up to 15 titles to our 10 but I DO NOT WANNA SEE UT get that 10th title....cuz we are gonna win #11 in 2005.

Wow....if only BG had beaten UT to send NIU to the game. I'd be a Huskie fan all day today. But, we didn't. :x

Nathan:

Yup, hate the idea of ULD (pond scum) winning that game. I'm not nuts about Miami (Abercrombie wannabes), but I do respect it as a school. Of course, respect is something ULD (puss-excreting wart on the buttocks of humanity) has neither earned nor deserves. Then again, it's really hard to call ULD (one step from state penitentiary status) a school.

I'm having trouble bringing myself to root for either team. UT is UT, but Hoeppner on the Northwestern sideline at the MCB last year left a bad taste in my mouth about Miami. It wouldn't have bothered me if Akron would have beaten Miami a couple weeks ago and gotten themselves in tonight's game. It would have made it easier for me to decide who to root for.

No doubt. Miami needs to win this game. I never root for Toledo.

As for a better bowl, I'd rather win the MAC Championship than play in either one.

Hoeppner is friends with Randy Wright, so I don't ascribe much to his being on the sideline.

Please don't call UT University of Little Detroit to insult it. I went to college and grad school in Detroit, live in Toledo, and teach at BG. Detroit is a world class city with a fantastic stadium that hosts the most recent bowl game to commit to our conference. Anybody have a bad time there last year?

I dont know who I want to win.. I hate Toledo but if Toledo loses they might take the indy bowl from my NIU. I really dun wanna go to the silicon valley bowl, i want to go to shreveport!

So I hope Toledo gets embarassed and the indy bowl lets NIU in. :D

ProfessorJackson:

Don't want to insult you. The venom is strictly aimed at Toledo (toe jam eaters). But I'll back away from the ULD name and stick with BCC - Bancroft Correctional Center (Future Felons of America).

Schadenfreude -- I was aware that Hoeppner and Randy Walker were friends, but IMHO, coaches should support their league teams, especially in bowl games. Unfortunately, it appears that Toledo is going to finish off the Redhawks tonight.

Professor Jackson -- Good point about the City of Detroit, and YES, I had a great time at the Motor City Bowl last year!

Now that they have Casino Gambling in Detroit it can be a fun town for sure! I always hated Detroit before, and saw it as merely a place to see my favorite baseball team (Tigers) or drive through to get to Windsor. However, the addition of casinos puts some viable, entertainment options there and with the one right outside Greektown its easily accessible to a good Gyro! :) Yummm...

There's some very good restaurants in Mexicantown too.
