Just heard it on about 7 radio channels. 1130AM, 1230AM, 1370AM, 1470AM, 96.7FM, 101.5FM and I think I may have missed a few. Also had my satellite radio on from a station in Florida, not sure what channel it is. It was played around 2:00 pm and they said Urban has definately accepted the postion. Then a few minutes later Chris Mortonsen from ESPN was on and said Urban wanted ND to make a few changes in its academics policies, (Prop 48, redshirting, grade requirements, etc) and they would not budge. Maybe thats why Rudy had to go to JC for 2 years. Anyways, best of luck to Urban in Florida. I would take 60 degrees in the winter and sun opposed to -10 and snow in South Bend any winter.
Go Luck Urban

ND had its chance, I'm amazed they are so thick-skulled. I didn't really think people behind the desks bought into the myths as much as they appear too. They had the perfect coach, a chance to make real changes, and what they wound up doing is making a ten year mess even worse.

I just saw on ESPN News an interview with Urban (sounded like before the official announcement) that he would coach the Utes in the Fiesta Bowl no matter what.
Well, at least he's learned a bit of class since he left Bowling Green in the middle of the night...

I'm still kind of shocked that he would pass up ND. I mean, yeah he can have more instant success and more money in Florida, but imagine the legend he could have been if he had brought the spread offense to ND and put them back in the NC hunt year in and year out...
And I don't just mean a good coach at ND -- I mean a legend!

Did somebody check Urban's resume to make sure it is legit!!!!! Never know? He may have listed as being the head coach for 3 years at BG or Utah. Wouldn't want him to lie now

Urban will win a national title at Florida. Since ND will be hunting for another coach in a few years, maybe they'll stow the ego and offer him what he wants and needs, then get him.
Its a shame they messed it up, it would have been more fun to see something other than Florida revive and change for national titles.

Urban had a NO BUY-OUT clause if he went to ND, UM or OSU. With that said, how much does Florida have to pay Utah to get Urban out of his contract?

SOMEONE has to pay $250,000. I thought it was Urban, but I'm sure UF would be glad to help him out with that.
