Omar Jacobs going to Florida???????

Ok, this has been bothering me now for a few weeks. I read reports two years ago that Omar was really disappointed that Urban Meyer left. He wanted to play for him. I read before that he was disappointed to Florida schools really came after him.

Well Urban knows how good Omar is. Omar was recruited to Urban. Is it possible, and I hope its not, but do you think Urban would transfer back to Florida to play for Urban with the chance of winning the Heisman and a NC.

What do you think?

I think it's possible but I also think you should not mention such things. I would hate to see Omar do that and I believe he loves BG too much now to leave us. Why not stay here and try to win the Heisman and a National Championship? That would be a bigger goal in my opinion. If you could tear up the BCS and college football by winning all of that from the MAC, that might make you one of the best QBs ever!

WHA WHA WHA WHAT?

while possible, I'd be surprised to see it happen. Omar has shown what he can do on the field here, and that he can get pub for doing it. If he goes to Florida, he wouldn't be able to play until he was a senior (has to sit out a year and he's lost his redshirt already), and he'd STILL be fighting Chris Leak for the starting job, with Leak having a year of running the system, which I'm sure he'll have a field day doing.

It was just an idea. Maybe the heavily recuited QB Utah recruited will now go to Florida. I think his name was Portis?

I don't think so....IMO, that possibility does not exist.

He used up his redshirt year, which I think makes it more difficult to transfer.

The MAC has already proven that it can put GREAT QBs in the pros. I'm not sure what he'd have to gain by transferring at this point. Sitting out a year wouldn't be good for his career, IMO.

I don't think that's going to happen.

Not gonna happen. A transfer to another D-1 school would require sitting out the first year and losing a year of eligibility. This would mean only 1 year left of playing time. Omar is getting all the attention he needs right here at BG, so why leave. He's already breaking records and will more than likely be a high draft pick someday. Utah has already proven that an undefeated season can get us a BCS bowl game, so that's also achievable, escpecially with the upcoming seasons schedules...so why leave???

The only way Omar goes to Florida is if he's drafted by the Dolphins, Bucs or Jaguars.

isn't he from Florida though? that may be a little more incentive to him. As far as the Leak knowing the offense comment, if UM would go there the offense would change anyways. The chances of him actually getting a chance for the NC is alot better there just the way the system is setup also heisman candidates are taken more seriously from there. I'm not sure what I would do if I was him, many pros and cons. For your team I hope that he doesn't, but as a rocket fan I want to go to expedia and help him find that plane ticket to get there quicker.

HE WOULD SIT A YEAR TO PLAY ONE...DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?
