BRANDON INTERVIEWS IN VEGAS!

Sportsradio 1470 the Ticket is reporting that a Las Vegas TV station and BGSU have confirmed that Gregg Brandon is returning to BG today after being in Las Vegas interviewing for the UNLV job. The Ticket also reported that the Las Vegas Sun reported this in today's paper and confirmed that Brandon was registered at a Las Vegas hotel. The Sun reports that a major sticking point will be the $500,000 buyout in Brandon's current contract.

I went to the Sun's website but did not see anything about Brandon. In fact, they reported that just a few days ago the search was down to three, the Utah OC, the Arizona Cards RB coach and Stanfords OC.

Maybe he was just in Vegas for the wholesome family entertainment.

Too bad Brandon was at the game last night and I am listening to Dan Patrick now on ESPN 1470. Have been since 1pm and I have not heard anything of the sort.

Wow... $500,000 would be almost better than a bowl payout!! ;-)

I hate to say it but for once I wish we had a coach like Turkey Tom up in Toledo...a guy that wants to stay with the program and make it a winner.

Thanks for finding the story. And I messed up the original candidtes, it is Purdue's OC, not Stanford's. Guess the Utah OC's name being Sanford had me all confused.

The disturbing part of that article is "Brandon showed interest". That makes it sound like he called them asking for the job. That does not bode well for us if he is looking to leave.
