Prospects of the Freak and the Freaklings going to Mobile just improved 110% from Wed. Mrs. Freak has no desire to go. But she doesn't mind if the boys and I do!
Mom and Dad Freak are thinking about going...even if they don't, I can use their van. Any interested party that wants a ride and can share in the drive (1 person please!), stay tuned just in case.
According to the company employee handbook, I have at least 8-12 hours of vacation time coming. Something will be worked out to make this possible.
Keep the positive waves coming...

I hope the folks of Mobile are ready for an invasion of the "FREAKLING" kind. The town will never know what happened and by the time they wise up the three of you will be home with no hope for extradition
CUDOS TO THE FREAKLINGS......OUR BELOVED FOURSOME...THIS TIME A THREESOME....THAT SOUNDS GREAT

Great news Freak. As far as the 1 person to go with you, are you saying at least one or 1 or more?

Things are beginning to fall in place here too. I just got a hook-up to get a student ticket, 15 bucks instead of 45. Dad has arranged to get us a FREE room in Mobile for two nights. We just need a van to get there and enough ppl to get work off and we're there!

WH!
I will possibly need 1 or 2....the more we can split up the drive, the better. My dad's van can fit 4 adults and 2 kids comfortably. If the folks can't go, I'll have room for at least 2 more. I am thinking of just driving up I 65 for a few hours after the game and pulling off the highway to get a room....strictly to crash. We could stop in Tuscaloosa the next day to check out Tide headquarters as well. just an idea...
We want to leave on Tuesday, 12/21, around 10pm...figure that pulls us into town around 12 noon, at the latest. Maybe check out the USS Alabama, and stop by '87's room for a little break. Then head over to the stadium by 4pm to check out the pregame festivities.
My dad should know by Wed whether he is going...my mom also. She might go for the hell of it! She even talked about leaving Mobile and heading over to San Antonio for the OSU Bowl. Ummm, no ma. Gotta get back for Christmas or Mrs Freak will not let me go on another road trip like this. So many miles, so little time...so what. This is what it's all about.
I'll keep you posted...let me know if you're interested. Mrs Freak wants to be sure a sane individual will be helping with the drive.

Maybe I'll ask snakeman!!! HAHAHAHA!!!
Positive thinking....gets you to Mobile.

Mike,
Good to hear you and the kids will be there...I agree with Ed...it wouldn't be quite the same without you... Joyce +I are flying to N.Orleans on the 20th(late), renting a car and driving to Mobile on 21st, so we can see the parade, fireworks etc. ( this was something missing at the MCB).... We'll leave Mobile on the 23rd and drive back to N.O., return to Cleve. in early morning on 24th... Thank God for frequent flyer miles!!!!
Look forward to seeing the 'crew' there!

Freak,
Thanks for the offer, but I am going to have to graciously decline. My wife wasn't thrilled with the idea and with my back issues it probably wouldn't be the best idea to ride in a vehicle for 14 hours.

Oh well, I will do my best to cheer the Falcons on to victory from here.
