Roster for 2010-2011 Any thoughts or predictions?

Post by Globetrotter »

I am bored at work and started to look at games I could make this year. Looks like Kent State is the only one. But that got me thinking about how good this team will be or if they will be good at all. What we relied on last year is gone and there are huge questions at the QB and WR positions. It seems like last year should have been a rebuilding year but that was somewhat covered p by the success we had with Sheehan, Barnes and going to a bowl game. So is this year the delayed rebuilding year or did we build enough last year but it was unnoticed because we were having success.

This is what I have as the current roster and my depth chart, which is surely organic. I would love to hear your thoughts in terms of strengths and weaknesses and how you think this year will turn out. How many days until camp opens?

After reading all the names at the WR position, I think that position may be the least of our worries this year.

Get your lazy ass back to work... :-)

I think the battle at QB will come down to Pagel vs Schilz...unless Hurley comes in and blows them away in August. I think OL and WR are definite strengths. I'm a tad worried about the secondary and LB...
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Torresso is playing G now, not DT.

Joplin had the biggest spring game out of anyone. I know that spring game results don't necessarily equate to fall results, but I can't see him on the bench. I'd start him right now.

Is Joplin still eligible? I thought I heard somewhere where his grades weren't up to par and may have to sit out in the fall.

Players reported today. I think there are 36 freshman on the roster. Very young team. anxious to see how players move up and down the depth chart as practices start.

Yes, we will be very young this year but there is a pretty good amount of talent. We'll probably take some lumps along the way but by the end of the year should be a good team. There are just too many question marks right now for me to make a prediction...anywhere from 8-4 to 4-8.

Let's get it going and find out!!

Any chance to get an updated roster reflecting the 36 freshmen, some of whom are recruited walk-ons that we haven't heard about before? The fact that Kellen Pagel was never part of any official signing class/announcement and suddenly might be our starting QB tells me that this list could include some important names for both the present and future.

A new depth chart would be great too so that when our cars/RVs/Oscar Meyer wagons are parked we'll know who we'll be watching on the field.
