No love from EA

Looks like EA Sports doesn't think much of this year's Falcon squad:

what do you expect from the same system that took them till NCAA 09 to even get our stadium right...If i remember correctly in 08 they had our stadium designed as a full bowl...and before that it matched the level of a high school stadium....smaller schools without a nationally known player wont get recognized on the game....I just go through and re-adjust players ratings to what they should be.... Also, When the poll came out of the top 100 programs going into this upcoming season im pretty sure BG was ranked 66th nationally....can't remember where I found the poll but it pegged us 5 spots ahead of scUM....which if we beat them this year...shows its right...NCAA only focuses on Big 10(the teams that matter, OSU, Mich, Wisconsin, Penn State) and the SEC, ACC, PAC 10, and Big 12....I wouldnt read to much into the other teams. Ratings were prolly rushed after spending so much time on bigger schools.

Yup. When it comes to mid-majors, they'll generally take some time on the bigger name schools, the BYUs, Utahs, TCUs, and Boise States, and they'll also take time on bigger names, like in NCAA 2006, Omar Jacobs, and NCAA 2010, Dan Lefevour. Everybody else, they take little time and do a lot of randomization it seems.

And it's not even like they do that thorough of a job on the big teams. Case in point: Michigan. Michigan's offense this past year was good early on and at least competent as the season went on, and they return basically everybody. Michigan's defense was pathetic last year, and this year they no longer have Brandon Graham and are going to be incredibly young in the secondary. Yet somehow, Michigan has a highly rated defense, and their defense is more highly rated than their offense. Hmm ...

Not much respect for most of the MAC... seems like only a few years ago BG, Toledo, NIU, Miami all had rankings of at least C+ Hopefully we can prove them wrong! Go BG

In my experience playing the game, BG always had a certain level of respect in its ratings from EA. We have a lot of uncertainties this season, but to rate us a D+ is ridiculous. Compared to all of FBS, BG is always a solid "C" - some years in the "B" category, some years in the "C" range. But to rank us a D+ is really an insult. We're not EMU.
