Hello, I've been living on the planet Neptune without computer access, apparently. So it must be my inability to keep up with current events that I'm just learning about the Ohio State-BG game, previously scheduled for 2011 has been taken off the schedule and replaced with West Virginia?

I don't think we'll see that 2014 game. The noise from the Big Ten meetings is that they will push to a 9 game conference format. My thought is that with the loss of a OOC home game, the window of opportunity is closing for this match-up.

If BG really wants to play OSU, why not try for a "home" game in Cleveland Browns Stadium. I don't think that the Buckeyes would turn down another game in Cleveland, even with the shortened OOC schedule.
Re: Ohio State-BG '11
They already turned us down once. We offered them to play in 2006, but they turned us down as the last game between the two was in 2003 where we were a play or two from winning. They will probably never leave their little tower in Columbus to play BG out of fear. After being turned down, the Wisconsin home and "home" deal materialized. That game in 2006 vs Wisconsin in Cleveland inspired Toledo to offer Ohio State to play in Cleveland, and the Bucks had no fear of playing the Rockets away from CBus.psc2009 wrote:If BG really wants to play OSU, why not try for a "home" game in Cleveland Browns Stadium. So if we were to offer them again, I am sure they'd say no. That's called respect for BG.

Um, we played OSU in 2006...Corey Partridge scored a touchdown, an awesome touchdown. I know, because I was there...on the field...

That was a sweet one hander, in an otherwise difficult game to watch.
The visit to c-bus back in the Josh Harris days was the one where we were one drive away from winning. 2003 I believe? We should've had it, honestly. It sort of came down to a dropped pass in the endzone, but the outcome of a game certainly cannot be blamed on one play.

Yeah I was there too still in band. It was offered to play that game in Cleveland but OSU turned it down, hence the Wisconsin series with a game in Cleveland. Sorry if I was vague on that part ...VDub26Falcon wrote:Um, we played OSU in 2006...Corey Partridge scored a touchdown, an awesome touchdown. I know, because I was there...on the field...

I get it now...I didn't catch the fact that you were saying the game in Cleveland was turned down by OSWho. My bad.
