Looking thru the pic gallery from Day 1 of camp, it looks like the Athletic Dept is replacing all the "Tennessee" orange chairbacks with BG Orange seats...

That will improve the looks, but the real question is if they "sit" any different, because the other one were AWFUL. I'm just glad I have the "old" style brown chair seats to sit in.
I wonder who paid for the replacement.......the company or BG. Bad decision to go to these chairs from my point of view.

Agreed.

I had to move my season tickets back about 10 rows to avoid these stupid chairs when they put them in. They were among the most uncomfortable things I've ever sat in. The benches aren't the definition of comfort, but they're preferable over those chairs, IMO.

It would be more "EXTREME" -- and the type of chair would not matter -- if you guys would stand for the whole game.

I would...but some of the folks behind me wouldn't like it very much. I really enjoy being told to sit and quiet down.

i was out to the stadium this past sunday.. just walked around.. they had about half the seats in.. i sat down, wasn't bad.. but not sure if i ever sat in the old ones.. but i did love the color

I was told last year that the company would be replacing the chairs because they were guaranteed to not fade. It appears from pictures the new chairs are just the right color but are still the uncomfortable old chairs.

Yep.....sti8ll just as bad to sit in. I went over this morning and watched a little bit of practice. Also noticed the lines on the chairs aren't very straight either. Won't make a difference if they are full, but pretty bad when they are empty.

My family and I, didn't have an issue with them. They are an upgrade from sitting on the metal bleachers in my opinion. Plus, the more orange the better

Don't they stagger them on purpose for better viewing of those seated in them?

It adds more Orange to the stadium...I like that. Those old chairs weren't very comfortable. I don't mind the bleachers but love the Orange addition.
