A New Record for BG?

This year BG played 4 teams that will appear in Bowl Games--Oklahoma, Northern Illinois, Marshall, and Toledo.
Isn't that a record? I can't recall a previous season where we did that. Maybe next year with Wisconsin and Boise State on our schedule, we will set a new record again.

Salsa: Interesting idea ... we played three last year (Purdue, Ohio State, Miami).

Good point.
In '97, we played OSU, Kansas St and Marshall. If La Tech made a bowl that year, it would have been 4.
Same as '98---Mizzou, Penn State and Marshall.
I think 3 is the most.

In 2000 we played Pitt and Michigan both of them went to bowls, and wasnt that the 1st year the GMAC bowl was around. Since we did not go bowling that year we would have played the 2 MAC schools that went bowling, so we played 4 BOWL schools.

We played three bowl teams that year. Marshall was the other.
The MAC only had one bowl team that year, which was the year Marshall won the MAC with a 7-5 record. Toledo stayed home despite a 10-1 record and a No. 24 ranking.
If the GMAC existed, it didn't start taking MAC teams until the next season.
