The last time BG started 0-3 in the MAC was back in 1988. That team won its fourth MAC game and finished 2-8-1 on the season overall (1-6-1 in the MAC).

Well, we're 1-6 overall and 0-3 in the MAC and one of only two winless teams in the MAC with lowly Akron (who we don't even get to play this year). Between the mounting losses, some of the heartbreaking ways they've happened, and now all the injuries - it's been a tough season thus far no doubt. Hell, seeing us make our extra points would be a step in the right direction at this point. I knew this season would be a rebuilding effort, it's just been tough to watch at times, especially our three games in the MAC where frankly, we aren't playing the type of teams we saw in the non-conference portion of the schedule. I have been very impressed with Schilz thus far. I really think we could be a star in the making in the MAC for us down the road. I just hope all experience the guys who are taking their lumps now are seeing pays off BiG time for us next season and for the next few years to come.

Yeah...we suck...we might suck next year too...it usually takes more than one year to rebuild. Then again, the MAC isn't a very good football conference, so we might get lucky next year.

If we haven't improved a ton by 2012, I'll start to fret a bit...
