Just ordered new 2004 home replica jerseys online for the Freaklings and myself. I wasn't going to do it since we just bought new ones from Athlete Technology last yr. But Mrs. Freak got a very nice bonus check and I received a raise recently so......and Mrs Freak went shopping this weekend for clothes. I simply did the same.
They should arrive just in time for the SE MO State home opener.
Grilled brats the other day smothered in Stadium Mustard. Yep, it's almost time.
GO FALCONS!! SOARING MORE IN '04...

Freak...Can you order these new jerseys with current players names and numbers or do you have to come up with something on your own? I thought I saw somewhere on this board get a #21 Magner...

FREAK - you'll have your jerseys in time to wear for the OK game (where ever you want to watch it).
I bought a home 21 jersey but you cannot get one with current player names. Looking forward to wearing it in Norman for the game!

My understanding is you can get any number you want... but they can't put the name of a current player on the back along with that number.
The solution is to order the jersey and take it somewhere else to have the name added. Someone had ideas on that.
I'm leaning toward going with a nameless "88," which was the year of my first Falcon football game.

Correct...current players and #'s cannot be reproduced thru the company.
I know IronMikeCrew takes his jerseys to a local shop and has the name put on the back.
I just got Josh and Jake's first and last names put on.
Me? "Falconfreak"....what else? And the # 90.

You are training them well! Someday I'm sure we will see both of them out there on the playing field in the brown and orange

I'll do my best sir! Funny story this past weekend. Mrs. Freak's dad and step-mother are big Ohio State fans. Step Mom doesn't waste too many opportunities "touting" the superiority of OSU. I usually just laugh it off but this last time was too much. We were at the Erie Co Fair and she notices all the Buckeye shirts. I, wearing a BG football shirt as always, tried to laugh it off until the phrase "you're always outnumbered".
Knowing what a waste of time it would have been trying to convince her the reasons OSU is more known (TV time, $$$$, facilities, news coverage...ect),
I simply stated "Anyone can be a Buckeye fan....it takes someone special to be a Falcon fan. We don't accept just anyone, ya know".
The discussion ended promptly....

FF, Well Played!
Now I know I don't live in the Toledo area anymore, and being in Wolverine and Spartan country, would have to go to a bar to see BG play OU anyway, but I find it ridiculous that a local team is playing probably the biggest game in school history and they are running the OSU/Cincy game! So I sent ABC 13 an email voicing my disgust on the media's lack of support of local teams. I asked them how are the local MAC schools suppossed to gain support when all they get is Big Ten football crammed down their throats? Anyway, if any of you want the address, here it is:
[email protected]. That is the general Contact Us address. They didn't have one for the Sports Desk. GO FALCONS!

Freak -- Michelle and I got our new jerseys from Athlete-Tech and they are sweet! I splurged for three of those things. Michelle and I both already had orange #21's, and I got a home orange #48 for our Wooster kid, Terrel White. I wore the Terrel jersey today at the photo day and will be sporting a new white #21 jersey tomorrow (um, later today) for the scrimmage. My BG jersey collection is now complete with two home oranges and two white away jerseys, as is Michelle's. My other white jersey is an authentic 31 that I grabbed in a tent at a game a couple years ago. Michelle's other white jerseys are a 48 (new jersey) and a 33 that I had ordered her for Christmas from Athlete-Tech last year. Her other orange jersey is a 15 that we got at SBX about three years ago. We're stoked for BG football! Got our tickets, our parking vouchers, along with the orange rear-view mirror season ticket holder thing. We'll be bypassing that south lot, though, for the east lot and tailgating ... get that grill ready Mike! Hey, where are you watching the Oklahoma game?

It is not the job of the local TV stations to support the MAC schools; they do not care if they gain any local support. It is their job to put on the game that will get the best ratings. OSU-UC will pull 20x the viewership in the Toledo area that BG-OU will. Michigan-Miami would do the same.

Right, Hammb. TV stations deliver audiences to advertisers. Remember, the viewing area is most/all of Northwest Ohio. OSU will indeed draw huge numbers compared to our game. If they pick our game up, then FOX picks up the OSU game and draws the audience...you just can't do it. Look at it another way...imagine the complaints they would be getting from OSU fans if they showed OUR game instead. They would be overwhelmed.
Like it or not, OSU football is an institution in Ohio. Its a habit. People watch Ohio State in the Falcon Club tent, for heaven's sake. We are not at that level, and we never will be. Nothing wrong with that. We are what we are, and I'd prefer to be what we are. But we're not going to deliver an audience like OSU does.

Ed!!!
How is that eye doing?? I can't wait to get these jerseys. That will give me two home orange, 1 road white and 2 home brown from past years.
We used the grill out at Atwood Lake yesterday....that baby was in mid season form!
I'm gonna give my parking pass to my dad and mom. It would be sweet to park there in the south end zone but NOTHING is better than TG'ing with everyone over by the golf course hill!!
I am gonna order the OK game on the dish. Class of 61 will be coming over and probably a couple other folks. I will tell you this...IF BG pulls the upset, I am driving up to the Doyt and waiting for the team to return!
C ya soon!
DEFENDING MAC WEST CHAMPS!!!!
SOON TO BE 2004 MAC CHAMPS!!!

Mike -- The eye is doing much better! It's not in "mid-season form" yet, but it's doing a lot better! I am ready to go! We went to Photo Day Saturday and the scrimmage last night and we looked pretty decent. There are some guys banged up (to be expected), but I talked to some players and they all said everyone will be ready to go on 9/4! I'm with you ... we win on 9/4 and Michelle and I will be there to welcome the team back!
