We are not alone

Not in the Art Bell way, but in the we're-just-like-everybody-else way.
Akron is winless, Buffalo has 2 wins and Central has 3. Miami went 1-11 last year. Toledo is coming off of four straight losing seasons. Temple is, well…Temple. NIU’s current senior class went 2-10 as freshmen. Clawson himself has gone through this exact same process with two other Division I programs and led them to unprecedented success after horrendously bad seasons.
As awful as the outcomes have been this year, it’s not the end of the world. That will come when that one row at the Doyt gets their free hot chocolate.

I think this is even more reason to be dissapointed about this season. The Mac is terrible and BG could only manage 1 win in this awfull league. The greater issue is that Toledo,Miami oh and ball st; teams Bg has beat in recent years seem to be on the rise along with continued success of temple , ohio , kent may keep Bg in the basement next year as well. Not sure of the schedule next year but we have to hope that we play Eastern Michigan and akron along with Buffalo.

Sportydude,
I don't think that you'd get too many arguments that the MAC isn't what if was in ...say 2003...but last I looked, there are at least 5 "bowl eligible" teams. If WMU beats us on Fri., they would become the 6th... out of a 13 team league. Admittedly, bowl "eligibility" doesn't mean much these days...
As to all these teams "on the rise" you're including Ball St., which hasn't overwhelmed anyone to my knowlege...and While Kent may have had some decent Defensive numbers(especially against us), they're in the process of folding ...again...with a new coach on the horizon.
Finally, I believe I read somewhere that we will NOT be playing Akron again next year.
