We seem to be recruiting taller OT's.
I'd like to see us go after Lake Catholic RB Richie Sanders. He's got the knack for running between the tackles that Geter had and he's as tough kid...played LB for a state semi-finalist at 185lbs.

From what I can tell BG is trying to get RB Richie Sanders but we are competing with Iowa and Purdue.

Iowa and Purdue want him to play on the defensive side of the ball at safety. Perhaps, if his heart is set on playing RB, BG could swoop in and get him.

Are there any scholarships remaining if a couple top MAC players jump ship with the coaching changes being made in the MAC?

Highly unlikely we would get any MAC transfers. Many if not all MAC schools try to impose and enforce rules against that sort of thing.

Sorry, I was thinking recruits that may have given a verbal to a MAC school then switched to a school with an established coaching staff. Darn computers don't type what I think yet.

Rumor has it, Clawson is telling many kids that graduated in the '08 class from highschool or earlier that they will not be invited back for their 5th year already. Lane Robilotto is one of those such players as I believe he only has one year of eligibility left anyways.

Thats not good. Building a malcontent group of seniors is not smart even though it might be wise to get some guys out as soon as possible.

That includes Pankratz. I wonder how morale will be next year

I wonder why people see RUMOR but go on like it is a fact.

The recruiting class from 2008 hasn't exactly been stellar...that was Brandon's last class. I guess Clawson wants a clean sweep. Not sure what that will do to morale...he's giving them 4 years in the program so it's not like he's welching on the basic committment.
So far as Pankratz goes...he's #3 on the depth chart with two years of eligibility left. Is being told he's not going to that last year of sitting behind Schilz and at least Hurley going to be that big of an issue?
Man..we are faaaar from the high water mark of 2003

The new MAC rule now in place states that in-conference transfers will not be allowed any scholarship money for the duration of their eligibility.

"I welched? Clawson promised them ugatz."
I completely agree. This isn't a work-study program with dining services, it's a highly competitive Division I football program.
