what is your favorite combination of the new uni's.

I'd prefer brown tops, orange bottoms.

But that's life.

I also like brown shirts with orange pants.

Orange top, white bottom looks the best. All orange is ok for big games, and all white just looks really dumb. Last year at WMU the all whites looked bad.

I agree.

I will say this, though:

I give Brandon credit for this all-white thing. While I'm still trying to warm up to it, it is different.

I really like the new unis....One item of concern I have is how the new Falcon head on the helmet looks against the current white surrounded by two brown stripes (top of the helmet). The new logo is much cleaner but I believe the stripes need to be switched around to one brown outlined by two white.

I wish I had a picture to show you. It is quite apparant when you look at it.

Hope they make this change.....

I loved the home/away uniforms from 2000, and the 1997 brown jerseys.

As for this year's uniforms?...WORST EVER! Sadly, I seem to be the minority on this one...and these jersey's will probably be around for the next 6-8 years. Until they change them...I'll be miserable....but I'll live.

What's so bad about them? They're a lot more stylish than plain white/orange

I just think that these uniforms are too trendy for their own good. I'd say at least 60% of D-1 teams have a style similar to BG's and now a good majority of the MAC schools feature this uniform style.

I think the new uniforms were too painfully obvious to anyone who's noticed the college football uniform trend lately. When I heard BG was getting new uniforms...I immediately knew that they'd be doing a variation of the Denver Bronco uniforms without a second guess. Wouldn't it have been refreshing to see BG do a uniform style close to the Cleveland Browns, Penn State or Alabama? Something really really really simple? Something timeless? Something that built an identity over time? I guess not. These new jerseys do not give the Falcons an identity because virtually every football team looks like this! I guess you could call me a traditionalist. I just really miss the days when "BOWLING GREEN" was written in block letters across the chest of the jersey.

In defense of our new jerseys, they do match our new logos and athletic Identity quite nicely. But I will save my true opinions of the new logos for another post. Let's just say that I will not buy anything with the "revised" Falcon head on it....but I will still support BG athletics. Afterall, athletics is what it's about to begin with (not shabby uniforms).
