I just read on the sout.com site that Antraz Burton has decommited from us for Central Mich. He said he never really felt comforable with us and we were also worried about his ACT score. Also Sam Wlliams the 6'4 LB also made a commit to Central

Do you have a link to this article, I'd like to check it out?
Well, it's good to see BG actually cares about academic standards, let alone eligibility. It's probably a playing time issue to, he would probably start much faster at CMU than BG.

He wants a better shot at playing receiver.

He could start at DB in the bowl game and be better than what we've got.
This is really bad news, he was among the best of our verbal commits

It sounds like he wants a chance to play right away...and doesn't think he'll get that chance here.
Regardless, I wish him good luck.

I would rather sit the bench on a bowl winning team than start for 4 years at losing directional.

I think Central might start seperating themselves from that "directional" stereotype that got ridiculed this year. Of course, a 30 point loss to Buffalo might not show that, but if their coach is as promising as advertised, and they're already signing key HS recruits (if Burton is the stud everyone says he is), they're on the right track. Seymour will only be a junior at RB, and they had a sophomore def. lineman make all-MAC first team. I think the pieces are there for them to stop being a doormat real soon. Maybe not contend for a division title just yet, but could play a big factor in messing up some teams seasons.

Yep, Central is on the rebound. They'll start moving into the middle tier of the MAC next year and could be poised to get serious a year or two later. Looks like the new coach can get things done. We'll see if he can recruit.

If they won't join us, they'll just have to get used to losing to us.

Yeah, four years of regret!

CMU might steal a PK from us too!

I sure hope we can land this guy. We certainly can offer him a pretty good shot at being the number 1 kicker for a team that scores a ton of points!!
