JOE SHARP FORCED TO RETIRE

The names Glenn & Joe Sharp are as synonymous with BG Football as Doyt Perry. Both men touched the lives and careers of several generations of players and students since 1957. The circumstances surrounding Joe's "retirement" are relatively minor and insignificant when compared to the contribution of this family to Falcon Football. This decision will not be met without several loud voices, and strongly worded emails, to GC.

As of April 1, 2011 Joe Sharp will be relieved of all of his duties because of an incident on March 15 where he and 3 other colleagues were cited for open container in a parking lot after a BG basketball game

Joe Sharp's retire began when a certain head coach came to town. Joe made the team look soooo good and the HC made them look soooo bad. A lot of good people have retired in the last two years with a lot of experience with the falcons football program. We losing in more ways than just on the field.

Someday, more of you will begin to think about GC the same way I do!
It's interesting that we can "tailgate" in the parking lot, before or after a football game, but in this case it cost a man his job after almost 35 years of service to the university.
Christopher is the one that needs to GO! I hear a couple of current and ex Board of Trustee members are thinking the same way. GC has no idea the problems this will cause.

There is a long list of people who've made comebacks after 'retirement'...Joe Gibbs, Floyd Mayweather, Dan Coates, Cher...There's room for more.

I agree with others...Let's keep Joe and get rid of GC. How many more stupid decisions can this guy make?
