We are heading down to Cincy on 5/28 to see J5 and Marion take on Tyler Sheehan and Cincy. GO BG!

I think it's great that Josh is getting to enjoy the game on his terms again....

We can argue over "best" but Omar was my favorite to watch. What he did to Wisconsin in the first half was just sick. He was hands down the most accurate passer of the group mentioned so far.

Great for J5!

He is by far my favorite BG player. I think he was light years better than Omar as an individual player, and he also serves as the posterchild for some of the best years our team has ever seen.

I hated McClure and don't really remember much about Harris except that he was grossly misused by Meyer against UT his senior year. I guess that's a vote for McClure.

You really don't remember much about Harris...his SR year was under Brandon. Hard to say GB misused him when we won that game...

Omar was great and remains one of the most accurate passers I have ever seen. However, he never once won a huge game for BG. He put up some absolutely mind-boggling numbers, but his biggest wins were the GMAC bowl victory over Memphis, the 04 blowout of Marshall, and the 05 blowout of Miami. Harris beat Northwestern twice, Missouri twice though Sahm started the first, Purdue, Kansas, and Toledo twice. He just seemed to have more of a mental edge in the tough games.
To this day, I still wonder how Omar would have done had he stayed for his senior year. True, he would not have had Sharon and Sanders out there at all and Partridge would have been fighting injuries through much of the season, but we would have seen Omar as a senior leader rallying and inspiring a very young set of playmakers instead of a trio of talented but very inexperienced passers trying to do the same. (And I'm posting this using my N900 ... sorry if there are any mistakes!)

There you go-maybe his junior year? It was his last game at the Glass Bowl, I know that. The offense consisted of Harris running into the line from the shotgun about 35 times. UT won big as I recall.

And when you say "we" is that your UT "we" or your BG "we"? You were gonna come out on top either way.

I truly don't believe that Jacobs was a leader, which was part of his problem. He was all about himself and without Sharon and Sanders he felt his stock would go down instead of up in the eyes of the NFL.

I've often wondered what would have happened if Omar stayed his senior year.
- Tyler Sheehan might not have burned his redshirt and might have played last year.
- Maybe Freddie would have been converted to WR in Spring ball thus giving Omar both Partridge & Barnes as well as a few other decent receivers. Add Bullock and Macon in the backfield and suddenly the offense is decent.
- Maybe AT would not have become the slash player as quickly. the next season's battle between a redshirt frosh Sheehan and AT would have been interesting.
etc...etc.....

During my time at BG, McClure took over as QB and did a great job. His lack of mobility always bothered me and I routinely complained that back-up Dayne Palsgrove should play. Doesn't say much for my Football IQ.

I like mobility in a QB so J5 would be my pick but Jacobs and especially McClure are arguably better. I'd put Sheehan in the top 5.

Erik White and that offense deserve some love, he was dual threat out of a pro style offense with RBs, RBs, TEs and receivers to throw to.
