Lighted Message Board

For the team leaving next friday, I was going to put our message board out on Wooster St. so the team can see it as they are leaving. I am thinking of putting "Falcons, all we want for X-mas is a GMAC Bowl victory". Does anybody else have any ideas, or know something that sounds better?

What time of the day are they leaving? I'm going to assume they will fly down. Are they taking I-75 to Little Detroit Express? Banners on a bridge anybody? Convoy to the airport? Does the band leave at the same time? From what one member has blogged, they leave late, get back late.

I can't speak for the football team, but the band is definitely NOT flying, as that would have cost $130,000 according to our director. We're leaving at 6AM Monday morning, so no, not at the same time as the team.

How could you forget a band trip that entailed a 16+ hour bus ride??? Don't worry, I'll make sure my uniform is nice, pressed and clean for ESPN.

We are planning on having an escort to Toledo Express. The Buses leave the stadium at 1015 am.

This sounds great, but will it be too long for them to see the whole thing as they pass by it? Maybe something a little shorter. How many lines can the sign show at a time? I'm thinking something like: FALCON FOOTBALL = GMAC VICTORY!! ....or something like that.
This is a great idea to send the team off on a positive note! I remember when you did this for the hockey team when they went to the Joe the last time. The guys REALLY LOVED IT!!!!
