Hello from Idaho.

Still a lot of time for the coaches to figure out what they have, but looking forward to the start of a new season. I see someone here already has the beer for your first tailgate.

Just browsed around a bit. Yeah, my bad on my Enderle to Bengals comment a while back. I did that without looking it up, and in most things I have the memory of a ... that big grey animal ... with the trunk ... whatever that thing is called

Probably the biggest loss off that team was our offensive guard, Mike Iupati, who went to San Fran in the 1st round last year... with him we would have surely been bowling last year... without him we had zero running attack... we need an offensive line to come together or we will struggle again moving the ball and scoring points...

I can't wait for this game. I attended the HumBowl in '09. This was probably the best game I have ever seen live. I am grateful that Falcons receiver is gone. He was lights out.

See you in Moscow. Go Vandals.

We plan on attending the game. What is the best way to get to the game, as far as an airport for flying into? We live in central Ohio.

Probably easiest, with most options and least cost, is to fly into Spokane, WA. Moscow is about a 1 1/2 drive from Spokane.

I suggest you take a slightly longer route and check out Lake Coeur d'alene on your way to Moscow. There are a bunch of nice golf courses - Circling Raven is on the way and you can stop in the Casino and pay for your trip...

You can fly into Lewiston, ID, about 1/2 hour from Moscow. The flights probably cost a bit more and it isn't serviced by all the major airlines.

The Pullman/Moscow regional airport is minutes from Moscow; but again, there are limited connections.

Should be a great time to visit the Palouse.

Yeah, that was quite a game in 09. Sucked to lose like that after taking the lead with 30 seconds left but that's football. Great game...I like the series with Idaho. Wish I could make the trip out but looking forward to opening the season in less than 30 days.

GO FALCONS!

Last time I came out to Moscow, I was able to fly directly into Moscow/Pullman. I believe it was Alaska Airlines? Or Northwest Commuter. It is quite possible, and I recommend it as the drive from Spokane is pretty boring...

And while you're in town, check out the Washington State University creamery. They make some ridiculously tasty ice cream and cheese. There's a decent BBQ joint in Moscow, and a GREAT breakfast joint in Pullman (http://www.oldeuropean-restaurant.com/).

We look forward to visiting Moscow next week. It's a long ride, but it's a beautiful country this time of year. Heading up to Banff the day after the game.

Some great insight good ideas...

There's a breakfast spot in downtown Moscow (everything is downtown Moscow), the Breakfast Club, that is outstanding.

Regarding the drive down from Spokane, if you come through Pullman (versus Coeur d'alene), the harvest is in full swing. May sound boring, but the Palouse region has some of the most fertile soil in the World, and it's pretty amazing to watch the combines harvesting wheat on the steep hillsides. Having grown up in the Pullman/Moscow region I'm biased, I don't think the drive is boring at all.

Ferdinand's referenced above is on the WSU campus... if you are driving through Pullman, program it on your GPS... probably about 5 minutes out of your way if coming to Moscow via Pullman.

To those of you coming out to the game, I hope you have an enjoyable trip out to Moscow. To the poster above heading up to Banff after the game... I'm jealous as hell!

Greetings!

I live in Portlandia (Lake Oswego) and Tuesday I'll be driving 6-7 hrs east; tying in the BG-Idaho game with a couple of days hiking in the Eagle Cap Wilderness in the Hells Canyon area. I called the UI athletic office (the ticket office is closed on the weekend) to find out which section of the Stadium is designated the "visiting team" side; however, rather surprisingly, the young woman to whom I spoke did not know! Could someone help me out? I would like to book the ticket on-line before I leave.

Thanks!
