Odds are interesting, but remember that they are set - and then fluctuate - largely on how the money is flowing. So I'm with MarkL on this one.

The Falcons have covered every opener they've played in since Urban Meyer was coach except for 2006 against Wisconsin. They've won outright in 8 of the last 11 openers, and covered 2 others, including last year's game against Troy. They won against Minnesota in 2007 and against Pittsburgh in 2008 as double digit dogs.

+8 against Idaho seems like a very favorable spread, I mean lose by a touchdown and still cover? That's pretty good odds. If it was something like +6.5 that would be much less a sure bet.

I would say that spread is pretty accurate. Like 24 said week 1 is usually good for BG.
