This is a hard game to call. BG is traveling and I have no idea what they can do with a healthy offensive line. I also haven't seen much about Idaho. So without further ado here is my prediction:

1 in the morning isn't exactly late for a bunch of 18-22 year old's.

Idaho's new QB has both talent and experience. Like us, they've got offensive line questions. Both teams are very evenly matched IMO. I think it may come down to who wants it more / who is better prepared. And it feels to me much like Troy @ BG in 2009.

But to go along with the thread, both teams have questions. It seems like this year's BG team is hungry as hell after what happened last year. However, this is a long road trip and Idaho is a competitive team on their home field. In games like this, I never pick against BG. We usually do very well, home or away, opening weekend.

Not really. If kickoff is 6PM (PST), that's 9PM EST. The game should end roughly at midnight. Unless there it a lot of scoring, penatlies, incomplete passes...ect.

I think it would be a bigger issue for UI if they were on the road at BG for a noon kickoff. College guys staying awake, physically active, aware, and intense from 9 until 12:30 or so isn't that bad. Guys doing the same at what feels like 9 am after a long flight and a short night of sleep is a far bigger issue.

I'm sticking to my guns, BGSU always comes out and plays well week 1, regardless of the opponent. Idaho won't be a pushover and the game will probably be close most of the way but I think the week 1 magic will rub off on the offense and you'll see Schilz, Jordan, Hopgood, and the others light it up on Thursday night. The defense won't be great, and they'll give up yards and points, but they'll make just enough plays to keep BG ahead at the end.

Hence why we scheduled the game vs Wyoming at noon...heh heh
