One last thing about the Idaho game...

Our D unit allowed a mere 52 yards total rushing for the game. 52...most games the last few years, teams would have 50+ yards rushing by the middle of the 1st quarter.
The tackling is much improved and it's great to see the D flying to the ball making plays.
GO BG

Yup..we've been a tad small on defense for awhile, but we never seemed to be quick enough to offset it. They were flyin' last night..

Very encouraging performance and very nice to see.
Let's wait and see how good Idaho is in the next couple weeks before we dub ourselves a MAC contender this season. Keep winning and West Virginia will be the test for this young bunch.
Very good to see and should put a nice number of people in the stands next weekend.
Go BG!

Encouraged greatly by a road win against a DI-A program.
Might not be a MAC contender but if just a pretender steps have been made in the right direction.
Keep it rolling Falcons. Go BG!

Definitely an improvement over last year, however not getting too excited just yet. Found myself shaking my head a few times last night and asking/wondering - - - what if he (Idaho receiver) would have caught that? Many dropped passes with "loose" coverage - and just as many that a "better" quarterback would have completed. Die-hard fan & alum, just sayin we have some room for more improvement. Will be there next week!!

A MAC contender? Why not us? If Miami can go from 2-10 to 10-4 MAC Champs, why not BG? IF the Falcons play to their ability like last night, we WILL be a contender.
