Go ahead and hate us if you want because our staff really anguished over where to put the Falcons (right now, they're 8th). On the one hand, it was a great win over Idaho. The only reason they're not higher is based on our preseason predictions and last year's finish. If BGSU can keep this up, there is no reason they can't sky-rocket up the polls.
I know that after one game, they look amazing!

Re: TMD's Week 1 Power Rankings
I actually think the rankings are rather accurate for right now, the only complaint I'd have is that WMU is above us, but I'm not sure BGSU would've fared better against Michigan. You can't downgrade Miami for losing as they played pretty well and were it not for some bad red zone decisions and crappy placekicking they could've won that one.
We'll just see how this season plays out, but after the first weekend, I don't think there's any disputing that Northern Illinois is the team to beat.

+1. NIU plays Kansas next week and I'd be stunned if they are not favored going into that one. They also have Wisconsin and based off both team's defenses, I think NIU could give Wisconsin way more of a fight than anybody thinks. That team is really, really scary good.bgsufalcon24 wrote:We'll just see how this season plays out, but after the first weekend, I don't think there's any disputing that Northern Illinois is the team to beat.
