Rim shot.

Sorry, We are moving and the guy who was coming to help came just as I was going to post something. So with out further Apu....

I think this team seems just about as talented as the ones we had early Brandon late Meyer days in terms of playmakers. Clearly they are not as polished but it seems like Samuel, Jordan, Cooper and Schilz all have potential to be pretty good. We are also young everywhere except WR. On offense we lose 6 Sr WRs. It will be important for guys like Joplin and Jackson to step up next year. The entire OL will return with the exception of Bojicic, a huge loss but continuity matters most.

On Defense I am not sure I remember a time where I liked three players as much as I like Jones, Gates and Woods. All three are back next year as well along with every other starter except Kevin Moore. All three are stud playmakers.

This team is really fun to watch and really young. Despite the ups and downs from today it was frustratingly fun game to watch and I think the team is loaded with dangerous playmakers that the other team has to scheme against. What is makes it even more fun is that because they are young guys are developing at different times so every game there seems to be another guy that catches your eye.

QB Matt Schilz 6-2 211 So® Trent Hurley 6-2 215 Fr® Matt Johnson 6-1 205 R Malik Stokes 6-2 184 R

*I think Schilz will end up being pretty good. He had some bad decision making today but he rebounded nicely. We have really good depth here and another guy coming in. Stokes probably ends up at WR eventually but it seems like he will get a chance to add the Harris dimension. Would not be surprised to see Hurley transfer with Schilz entrenched.

RB Jordan Hopgood 5-11 212 So® Anthon Samuel 6-0 180 R John Pettigrew 5-8 180 Jr Jamel Martin 6-1 195 Fr® Erique Geiger 5-9 203 So®
FB Tyler Beck 6-4 250 So Chris Pohlman 6-1 248 R Zach Akenberger 5-8 197 Sr®

* Hopgood is solid and I think Samuel is special. The rest of the guys seem to be fighting for a chance and could end up elsewhere. That says more about what Hopgood and Samuel have done then them

WR Eugene Cooper 5-9 181 Sr Heath Jackson 5-11 187 Fr® Steven Dunlap 5-8 175 Sr® Herve Coby 6-1 180 R Christopher Gallon 6-4 207 R
WR Kamar Jorden 6-1 203 Sr® Justus Jones 6-2 201 Sr® Bart Tanski 6-1 191 Jr® Diontre Delk 5-10 180 R Travis Greene 5-11 170 R James Brown 6-3 189 R
WR Adrian Hodges 5-10 186 Sr® Shaun Joplin 6-2 197 So® Ray Hutson 6-2 197 Sr® Nick McKnight 6-3 205 Fr® Ryan Burbrink 5-8 178 R Taylor Hanes 5-11 180 R

*Top heavy with Srs and talented with Cooper and Jorden standing out. Will be interesting to see how things shake out next year. Joplin the transfer Stokes and Jackson seem to be the most likely to step up.

TE Alex Bayer 6-4 256 So® Kendall Montgomery 6-5 258 Fr® Clay Rolf 6-6 275 Fr® DeMark Jenkins 6-3 228 Jr® Zach Steinmetz 6-4 240 R Mitch Williams 6-5 242 R

*Bayer might be one of my favorite players on the team. We have had a recent history of pretty solid TEs.

LT Ben Bojcic 6-4 295 Sr® Kyle Bryant 6-5 306 So® Fahn Cooper 6-4 294 R
LG Dominique Wharton 6-3 298 Jr Scott Lewis 6-2 304 Sr® Jeremy Ernst 6-4 285 Fr® Spencer Cairo 6-2 293 R
C Chip Robinson 6-5 310 Jr® Jonathon Fry 6-3 265 Fr® Alex Huettel 6-4 290 R
RG Dominic Flewellyn 6-3 291 So Isiah Byler 6-3 286 Fr® Christian Piazza 6-7 275 So
RT Jordan Roussos 6-4 296 Jr Scott Hodges 6-7 294 Jr Darion Delany 6-5 295 Fr® Nick Hager 6-2 310 Fr®

*I really don't like Bojcic at LT. He seemed outmatched today. The Bryant injury might just help us in the long run because every player starting next year should have experience starting at that spot. My guess is next years line looks just like it is now with Bryant at LT instead of Bojicic.

K Kyle Burkhardt 5-11 181 So Stephen Stein 5-11 186 Jr® Matt Oczypok 5-11 182 So® Tyler Tate 6-1 185 R
P Brian Schmiederbusch 6-4 214 So® Jerry Phillips 6-1 218 Jr®
LS Cory Johnson 5-11 204 Jr® Matt Engel 5-10 207 Fr

*Our Punter is a stud, I know nothing about the LS which is a good thing and the kicker spot is a mess. Why cant we find a kicker?

LE Kevin Moore 6-1 265 Sr® Charlie Walker 6-2 228 Fr® Micky Wagner 6-2 241 Sr® Shaquille Hall 6-3 225 R
LT Chris Jones 6-1 295 Jr Darius Gilbert 6-1 275 Fr® Zach Colvin 6-4 260 R Bryan Baird 6-4 227 R
RT Ted Ouellet 6-3 276 So® Jairus Campbell 6-5 295 So® Hunter Maynard 6-1 310 R Mark Kulbis 6-4 220 Fr
RE Ronnie Goble 6-2 240 So® Bryan Thomas 6-2 248 Fr® Anthony Lawson 6-0 237 So® Tim Love 6-0 211 R

*Would love to hear your take on these guys, I just don't follow it closely enough. Jones is a stud and we seem pretty deep here and only have 1 sr on the 2 deep.

Buck Paul Swan 6-0 226 So® DJ Lynch 5-11 238 Fr® Eric Jordan 6-0 215 So® Jordan Leininger 5-11 201 R
MLB Dwayne Woods 6-1 227 Jr Gabe Martin 6-1 220 Fr® Deejay White 5-10 175 Fr® Matt Redfield 5-11 219 R
Rover Jerry Gates 5-10 209 So Keith Morgan 6-0 213 Sr Tim Moore 5-11 186 Jr Jason Rice 5-11 205 Sr®

*Woods and Gates are both playmakers here. I remember loving Swans recruiting video but I don't know much about him so far.

Whip Aaron Foster 5-10 202 So Jude Adjei-Barimah 5-10 194 Fr® Jonathan Davis 5-11 185 Sr® Austin Collier 6-1 205 So® Marcus Graham 5-11 189 R
Stud Ryland Ward 5-9 204 Fr® Jovan Leacock 5-10 193 Sr Justin Ford 6-2 190 Fr® Dernard Turner 6-0 180 R Tony Traylor 5-8 189 R
CB Devon McKoy 5-10 189 So Darrell Hunter 5-8 176 R Adrien Spencer 5-11 186 Sr Johnny Joseph 5-9 170 R
CB Cameron Truss 5-10 189 So® Aunre Davis 5-10 175 So® Mark Mays 5-10 182 So® Brian Sutton 6-0 180 R[/quote]

*Starting all So and Fr and the results have been pretty good. Again...who stands out to you?

Since he's a transfer from Mich., he has to sit out a year.... obviously can't be on the roster too. [-X

Almost everytime someone transfers they are on the roster, but are ineligible to play. In basketball they usually sit on the end of the bench and go to every game. Why would he be different?

So obviously he can be on the roster.

Alternatively, too bad most of the upper classmen couldn't hack it/got into trouble/washed out/weren't as talented as the younger guys.

Two sides to every coin.
