Pick the MAC, week 4!

Sorry this is a bit late. Hectic week, so I'm writing this pre-coffee this morning. So ... if there's any innaccuracies, let me know and I'll fix it ASAP.

And now the schedule. All 13 teams play, and there's three Big 10 matchups, along with three Big East teams and an ACC team.
Saturday
Eastern Michigan at Penn State, 12:00 pm
Central Michigan at Michigan State, 12:00 pm
Toledo at Syracuse, 12:00 pm
Temple at Maryland, 12:30 pm
Bowling Green at Miami, 1:00 pm
Virginia Military at Akron, 2:00 pm
Army at Ball State, 2:00 pm
Ohio at Rutgers, 2:00 pm
Cal Poly at Northern Illinois, 3:30 pm
South Alabama at Kent State, 3:30 pm
Western Michigan at Illinois, 3:30 pm
Connecticut at Buffalo, 6:00 pm
And .... my picks
Penn State. No contest.
Michigan State. MSU takes out frustration of last week on CMU. Sucks to be them.
Syracuse. Toledo plays a bunch of weak BCS teams and pulls one win each year of these, but I believe that trend ends this year. Cuse in a two possession win.
Maryland. I'd like to pick Temple. They look darn good. However, Penn State's offense has been pretty bland so far, and Maryland has been far more exciting. I think their offense takes care of business against an excellent Temple d and gets the win.
Bowling Green. After what happened last week, I see a VERY focused BG team coming onto the field in Oxford. Miami is absolutely desperate for a win as they have been in the thick of their last two games, but they will have to wait another week for that win. BG in a two possession win.
Akron. I would pick many 1AA teams to beat Akron, but not VMI. This is the national pillowfight of the week. Maybe we should instead predict the attendance for this game.
Army. Ball State has surprised me so far. However, that triple option offense is very tough to stop if you only have a week to prepare for it. Army in a good win.
Ohio. Rutgers has not been the same Big East contender that they had been from 06 - 09, and Ohio is still the team to beat in the east. Ohio in a big win that starts opening eyes about this team.
Northern Illinois. I always will respect Cal Poly greatly because of the 1960 game, plane crash, and 1961 Mercy Bowl. That's a piece of BG history that I wish more people knew about because it is a very touching story. In 2011, though, NIU is going to absolutely dominate.
Kent State. I still don't know how good Kent is or can be. I guess we won't know until conference play.
Illinois. WMU can certainly win this game, but I don't think they will. Last time these two played was in 2008 and that win was an instant classic for WMU, but this time their defense won't hold up.
Connecticut. I don't know how good Connecticut is so far, and Buffalo has been hard to read. But, I think UConn is just more talented top to bottom and will win.
Good luck, and Go Falcons!
