now lets work on beating a team that has a WINNING record. The last time we beat a team with a winning record was two years ago.. After WVU beats use up we won't be able to field a team a 3-9 is still around the corner

Birdman has a point on this one.....Clawson has 12 career victories, only one against a team with a winning record. Troy in 2009. Maybe Miami can get it going, but they certainly aren't playing like a MAC contender. They played a sloppy game.

Off the top of my head...I think Urban Meyer had one win gainst a team that finished with a winning record in his two years here (Toledo 2001).....

a win or loss does not make or break our season against WVU... a win or loss against WMU does

Better chance of beating WVU than WMU to be honest. Western is really good and WVU will be really down and its the perfect set up for a WVU letdown. Meanwhile, birdman continues to try and send bird poop on this up and coming team!

A win or loss against WMU does NOT make or break us. Consider the following:
1.A loss against WMU would only be our first MAC defeat. How many times do teams go a perfect 8-0 in the MAC? Virtually never. Ball State did it in 2008 when they went undefeated, but I can't think of any other instances of late. Even the great Central Michigan teams with LeFevour dropped games to teams like EMU every so often.
2.Western Michigan is a cross division opponent, so a loss there wouldn't give anybody in the East a head-to-head advantage against us.
Quite frankly, we could drop games against both WMU and Toledo, but then run the table against the rest of the East division and that would be good enough to get us to the MAC Championship Game. The only way we'd get beat out at 6-2 and 5-0 against the East is if either Ohio or Temple were to win out against everybody but BG to go 7-1, and that's not very likely.
On the other hand, if we WIN in Kalamazoo to go to 2-0, we're in great shape...but not so great that a defeat against Temple or Ohio might keep us out of the MACC. Those are the two absolutely crucial games remaining on the schedule.

24 obviously you didn't understand what I was trying to get at... WVU doesn't count towards our conference record... WMU does...
besides... EVERY MAC game makes or breaks us... don't leave it up to chance, take care of business on our own... cause as you have seen over the years... everything will fall in place for other schools but not us. If we win nobody controls our fate but us.

We should be 4-0 right now, to claim that we will not win another game is foolish even for you.
