Tons of great info...like Schilz leading the nation in TD passes with 14. Stephen Stein did a solid job kicking and the D is reminding me of the early 2000's D units. Solid pass rushing with a lockdown secondary. Give a shout out to Darrell Hunter, true Frosh, stepping in for Cam Truss last week...Hunter had 4 solo tackles, 1 TFL and a pass break up. Schmiedebusch had another solid day at Miami with 5 punts for 40.8 average. We have a solid punting game not seen since Pat Fleming.

Check out some of the D statistics...very solid play.

I'm severely pumped up about this team. They have attitude and swagger...guys ready to buckle up the chin strap and knock heads. They go about their business...and when mistakes happen, they don't get down. They come back the next play. For a young team, they seem very mature right now. BG has a difficult 8 game stretch. Think about it...go 4-4 and this team is 7-5. If the Falcons don't beat themselves, they can win any game left on the sked. Coach Clawson and his staff are doing an outstanding job and damn, the future looks SHINY :supz: The day is coming soon when that elusive MAC trophy returns to BG....

BEAT WVU

Love this: Sticking with the youth, on the two-deep alone, the Falcons feature 10 seniors, seven juniors, 17 sophomores and 18 freshmen.

This Saturday will be a great measuring stick to where this team is. WVU is not an elite team but they are a solid top 25 team, and if we can play with them we are in great shape for the last 7 games of MAC play.

The only thing I am afraid of is our young talent getting sucked into the atmosphere of the day and getting a little overwhelmed. I think Clawson will have them prepared though. I can only imagine the sound being pumped into the Doyt during practice.

I agree, I think the future is finally starting to look bright again for this program. I'm actually not looking at the WVU game as a measuring stick at all. In fact, I wish it was already behind us. The next four MAC games, however, are perfect "measuring stick" games. BG caught no breaks from the schedule makers this year (no Akron from the East, getting the top three teams from the West), but these are the games that are going to tell us what we have this year. I actually loved diving into MAC action last week, and loved the way it started. I'm actually disappointing we have to jump back out of conference action. This WVU game is one I wish we had lined up in week one or two. But, it's on the schedule. I hope we go down there and compete, but no matter what happens, I really hope we can come back strong after this game and build on what we started in conference play with that road win in Oxford.

I just hope we get out of this game without any "major" injuries.

Freak, you can start the countdown. The MAC trophy is coming home to Bowling Green on December 2nd.
