Re: If you want some entertainment
Looks like some people have been hanging out in Appalachia a bit too long. Pretty funny stuff there.
Re: If you want some entertainment
I love the ignorance. They have not beaten anyone good. They beat a really bad Marshall team, Maryland who just got spanked by a MAC team, and Norfolk St. They gained a lot of yards on LSU but that was because LSU played a soft defense on them. When things got tight LSU quit playing with them and blew them out. Quit acting like you are a top 5 team.
I don't expect to beat them but I wouldn't be shocked if we were hanging around in the 4th quarter...

Wow, reading through those moronic posts makes me REALLY appreciate AZZ and how well behaved we are on here! Despite some of the off center posts some people make, it's still a LOT better than most of what I saw on there!!
Thanks again, Grant, for having the BEST forum on the internet!!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Generally speaking the espn conversation boards bring out the worst in humanity. Could be worse though, sports tends to be better than politics in this regard.

Re: If you want some entertainment
I got on there and made a couple comments but the "intelligence" of the WVU fan base gave me a migraine. I love the comment from one dude that BG is "A flat out terrible team". What? Really? Now Akron is a flat out terrible team. BG seems pretty good to me.
Just tee the damn ball up and let's find out....

Somebody on there mentioned that a "MAC school expects to walk into Morgantown and walk out with a win? Fat chance..." or something to that effect. I do remember going to a game in Pittsburgh against a then Top 25 Big East school and kicking their Azz on the road...

Yeah, nothing quite beats the feeling I got walking through the Heinz Field parking lots after that win.BGFalconfromCincy wrote:As do I, was there, great experiencejg4242 wrote:Somebody on there mentioned that a "MAC school expects to walk into Morgantown and walk out with a win? Re: If you want some entertainment
I love the comment that when they wanted an easy game for their video game dynasty, they would schedule BG and destroy them with West Virginia. If video games = real life, BGSU would be in line for 4 national championships in the next 6 years.
ROLL ALONG!!!

I was at that Pitt game too. Every time BG made a play, i'd yell "Welcome to the MAC"

Being from Pittsburgh, that game brought me a lot of pleasure. Told my family and friends that BG was going to win. It was weird, but great feeling being at Heinz Field and rooting for the visitor. Went to Pirates game that night with my BG hat, loved the looks I got.
Freak, that 27-3 doesn't include the bogus inadvertant whistle that cost Kenny Lewis a fumble return for a TD.
Re: If you want some entertainment
another thought from that game, all week we heard that BG would not be able to stop Leshawn McCoy, that he would have 200 yards. He was being pushed for the Heisman, but BG held him to 70+ yards and he was done with the Heisman hopes.
Re: If you want some entertainment
I am not convinced West Virginia is that good. They haven't played 4 quarters of good football in any of their games. On paper they should be way better than us but who knows.
And to second 24's comment, yes those boards bring out the nastiest filthy people.
