Yahoo/Rivals has its early Bowl Projections out and they have BG playing Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl Bowl in New York City. I assume its in Yankee Stadium?
They have 7 MAC teams going bowling overall.

I'm there if this comes true.
Pizza in Little Italy and hop the #4 train to Yankee Stadium.

I'd prefer the military bowl. I could ride the metro to the game from my apartment ...

We've still got a long ways to go.....I could see the team finishing 3-1, but they could finish 1-3. MAC football is really bad again this year. I'm really surprised they haven't changed the rules to exclude avg. MAC teams from getting Bowl Games.

The BBVA Compass bowl in the Birmingham ghetto would be ok with me. I would even settle for the godaddy one in Mobile.

MAC Football is NOT really bad this year. Okay, so there might not be a dominating force like Ball State going unbeaten or Central Michigan going 12-1 as in the recent past, but in all honesty, the talent from top to bottom is really quite good. Toledo is good. Temple is good. Northern Illinois is good. Ohio and Ball State are over .500. Freaking Eastern Michigan has won 5 games. Western Michigan and Bowling Green are right in this mix as well.
Bottom line is that you have 6 teams over .500 and 2 more teams at .500. When was the last time the MAC had 8 teams finish north of the .500 mark? I'm guessing never, and that very well could happen this season.
The only teams that I would put in the suck category this year are Akron, Kent State, Central Michigan, and Buffalo. The jury's still out on Miami to some degree, clearly they have talent but I think their coaches are holding the Redhawks back big time.

I agree about the MAC this year...lots of balance across the league. It is not "really bad".
Now, IF BG were to play in NYC, we can get a flight from Akron/Canton into LaGuardia for about $200 each, non stop, round trip. That would be cool...we could fly in the AM of the game, stay a night and fly back the next day to save on costs.
First, we need to beat Kent State and keep the momentum rolling.

Drago doesn't like the AD or coach Clawson...claiming the conference is "really bad" when it's actually decent compared to many other years is a ploy to take credit from those guys for whatever success we experience

The 13 teams in the MAC have combined for 33 wins against 1A competition. Of those 33 wins, only 7 have come against teams with an RPI above 75. All of those wins came against teams in the MAC. 2 against OU, 2 against Temple, 1 each against EMU, Ball St., and NIU.
Other than UT the MAC is not very good.....there may be decent records but it is just beating other below avg. teams.
It has nothing to do with Clawson or GC. I personally just think the number of quality coaches is down again this year and it shows up on the field.

They are projecting Big 12 won't have enough bowl eligible teams to fill the spot so it falls to BG in their estimation.
