Please hire Lembo...I think Clawson has us going in the right direction and watching Rockette fans go into hysterics over Beckman's screw ups is so muh fun....

I doubt clawson is a serious candidate for tulane and even if he is , I don't see him leaving BG for Tulane. I think he had a better chance to win at BG than Tulane. Win the Mac east and clawson will be in line for a BCS job. He is not going to Tulane

Tulane is not the route to go. If you want to shoot to stardom, you need to do one of two things. First go to a top non-BCS school, where you can win your conference and put yourself in a position to make it to a BCS game. (Like Urban) The other route you can go is to get promoted to a mid-tier BCS team. This way you have a chance at over-achieving and grabbing an elite gig. A low BCS is a 3 year trip to unemployment.

At Tulane you will always lose out to the SEC and Big 12 for good recruits. Also Sun Belt is not a step up from the MAC. C-USA isn't a step up any more.

If Clawson wins Big at BG * mac title, ect.. I can see him moving on to a job like NC state , Boston college, Indiana, ect,, a solid bcs job.. Much like Pinkel at missouri or kelly to cincinati or Haywood to Pitt before the incident. he doesnt have to go to another low level non BCS school to make a name for himself I mean look at Golden from Temple to Miami.. He would be crazy to go to a school like Tulane and he doesnt have to . If he can build a winner here at BG win a Mac title he is going BCS

Can somebody explain to me why in the world Clawson or Beckman would go from BG or Toledo to Tulane? That's not even a lateral move, that's a downgrade. Tulane's horrible and they've been horrible for a long time.

Its all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

While I agree that a move to Tulane would be a terrible move football wise, you have to look at what Tulane will be willing to pay for them.

I'm guessing the only way they would move to re-build a program would be if Tulane offered substantially more that what Clawson or Beckman makes now.

Clausen was the second lowest paid coach in the MAC last year at $200K, Beckman made just over $300K

In an attempt to not sound like a prick why would you want any of these guys? Beckman barely has won half his games and Clawson is 7 games under 500 after nearly 3 seasons at this this level. Can't say much for Ball St's coach yet.

Former Tulane offensive coordinator Rich Rodriguez seems the more likely hire.
