Found this from a Florida blog, interesting to note the other M.A.C. schools on the list and their payouts:

Contracts for future Florida games: Florida Atlantic gets $1 million in 2015
by Jason Lieser

Assuming the SEC keeps its current eight-game schedule, Florida has its non-conference line-ups set for the next three seasons. The Gators also have two games finalized for 2015 and ’16.

Florida Atlantic, which played at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium this year, will be back in 2015 and will receive $1 million for the game. The Gators also will pay $1 million New Mexico State for the season opener.

Bowling Green State, where former UF coach Urban Meyer got his start, will receive $1.25 million to come to Florida for next year’s opening game.

Here are the rest of the details for the Gators’ future non-conference games:

Image

Notations:
A – Florida and FSU technically pay each other $500,000 for each game.
B – Florida and Miami technically pay each other $400,000 for each game.
C – Miami received 10,000 tickets for the 2008 game.
D – Idaho and Eastern Kentucky also will receive a dollar value equivalent to 300 tickets at that year’s ticket price.
E – Massachusetts’ guarantee drops to $625,000 if the program is not in the FBS at that time. UMass plans to join the MAC beginning in 2012.

If the SEC decides to go to a nine-game schedule now that Texas A&M and Missouri are in the league, it might jeopardize the Florida-Miami game in 2013. If that contract is broken, the breaching party must pay the other party $600,000.

Side note: Every contract contains this item, which I found interesting:

The contract is voided if any of the following prevents the game: fire, flood, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, war, invasion, hostilities, rebellion, insurrection, confiscation by order of the government or military or public authority.

If any of those things happen, you want to be wherever Dwight Schrute is.

........but we only get something like $400,000 for Virginia Tech next year , so it pretty much evens out to the "normal" $800,000 per game!

Would love to get to the game at the Swamp but all the Freaks are heading to Fla in April for a week...

However, if we come into a windfall, perhaps we can still make the trip to Gainesville.

How does visiting ticket distribution work? I know the visiting team always gets an allotment. But, for example, if BG doesn't sell all 4,000 do they eat what they don't sell or just turn them back in to Florida?

I plan on going as well. For $1.25 million, maybe BG will pay those those of us who are going.

How much of that will we actually see though? I'm sure the athletic department is already budgeting with that money in mind. Once all the players and coaches have traveled, by plane, to the game, stayed in hotels for a couple nights and then traveled, by plane, back to Ohio, how much of that 1.25 will be left? I say, realistically, the Athletic Department ends up with $150,000. It's the same situation with bowl games for us. It was basically a wash.

Very different situation from a bowl game.

No Administrative travel party
- For bowl games, the President, Provost, Vice Presidents, and Trustees (and spouses of everybody) attend
(One GMAC Bowl, all of the Directors and their spouses in one division of the university were treated to the game, travel, and hotel)

No Band
- The band won't be making the trip by plane, train, or automobile for this game

Hotel -
Fly down on Friday and spend Friday night in a hotel. Play the game on Saturday and fly back late Saturday night/Sunday morning

With bowl games whatever shortfall we have in ticket sales vs what we are "obligated" to sell comes out of our end, which IIRC, was a huge factor in lowering our bowl payouts in Mobile. We wouldn't be playing these "money games" if they didn't result in a windfall....I think that's why they're called money games

This could work out well.

Drop the daughter off for school at Georgia Southern, swap the GSU Eagle flag for a BG Falcon one then make a small drive into enemy territory. Tailgating southern style!

That schedule is ass-backwards. One non-league game to start, 8 straight SEC games, and then they finish with 3 more non-league games. I can't ever remember a non-Independent finishing their schedule with three non-league games. Weird.
