Oh Mr. Turner . . .

Decommitted from ND when Ty was fired

http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=819259

and his teammate, who've we discussed much more . . .

http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=790352

And other guys from just Ohio . . .

Also decommitted from ND

http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=1200752

Walt Harris is gone, is he still committed, it's worth anytime cell minutes

http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=1200712

Same League as Verbals Mahoney and Alexander

http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=1200688

And there's talent besides Michael Reams and Korey Lichtensteiger in the NWC!

The bottom line is . . . Ohio State can't just be given a free pass and expect to sign all of these guys. There aren't enough scholarships to go around. I find it amazing that a guy like Antraz Burton, who I admittedly haven't seen in person, cites in his de-committment that he has a chance to play right away at CMU . . . My only question is . . . Who watches the tape of our DBs to assume that their jobs are safe for next year?!?!

I dunno, a kid who wants to play WR right away instead of DB in a year or two?

For the life of me, I cannot understand all this angst over our recruiting. Unlike other schools, it appears our coaching staff likes to keep a lid on who we have commitments from.

The names that do surface, be it from the kids, their coaches their friends or their parents, appear to be quality players. None of this matters until Feb at the earliest when signing day comes around and even then you have to keep your fingers crossed until they all get through the clearinghouse and actually tear themselves away from mom and the local girls long enough to show up on campus.

Chill out, folks. Coach Brandon and the rest of the staff have shown themselves to be very good recruiters. I'm sure this class wil be another good one.
