That would be hilarious as Brian Nowicki was pretty adamant that he was like last on their list...lol

Brian Nowicki would know...I'm sure he's been last on a number of lists... :)

One poster on the MAC board says the Toledo players are already talking that he is gone.

Miek Thomas (Illinois' current AD, former UC and Akron AD) loves hiring the hot MAC coaching candiate for his football openings (he brought in both Brian Kelly and Butch Jones when at UC)

In that case, Beckman stays UT and the Illini hire Dino Dawson instead!

even though he won a MAC title I wouldn't call him the hot MAC coaching candidate because I haven't seen his name linked to jobs like Timmy is. You would think he would look in his own state to a guy who has coached in the Big 10 as well

Doeren needs to tweet more if he expects to be viewed as a serious candidate...

Just read on Twitter - @aweberphoto: Toledo Rockets will hold a 7am team meeting to announce the departure of Tim Beckman. Players said he was acting strange at practice today.

My comment was more of a sarcastic dig at Beckman than a serious one about Doeren. I just plugged his name in since NIU had a good year. Maybe Doeren isn't there yet, but I don't think Beckman is either. Maybe it's partly because they didn't live up to all the preseason hype. Then again, maybe his ego and ridiculous, next level coach speak just annoy me enough that it clouds my opinion of him as a coach O:)
