MOBILE: part 2

For those that might be in Mobile awhile and want to get out of those extended stays, I suggest doing these things:
Take a walk or jog through Springhill College

If you're staying at the Grand Hotel, take a walk or jog or ride (you can rent bikes) down the "boardwalk"... just ask the locals. This is one of my favorite things to do.
Drive down to Gulf Shores (45-hour south of Mobile) and walk down the beach. I'm pretty sure it's still there.
Take a walk through downtown Mobile. Check out the Cathedrals, the Parks and French-style architecture.
Drive down one of Mobile's many canopy roads and look at the antebellum mansions (Government Street, Old Shell Rd, Dauphin Street).
Check out Ashland Place (The Ashland Gallery is AWESOME!!)
