College Football News is out with the rankings for all Division 1 teams. With Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, Ohio and that team up north having a higher pre-season ranking, CFN, ranking the Falcons at #91 says, "Watch out. This should be the surprise team out of the MAC..."

CFN also targets BG at 8-4 overall and is talking about the game at Ohio with this comment: "The nastiest-looking East showdown should be against Bowling Green..."

Here is the entire article and all the rankings: http://cfn.scout.com/2/1184157.html

Let the hype begin!

I simply cannot wait for this season to get here...I don't see this team winning fewer than 8 games in 2012. Everything is in place for the next couple years...now we gotta get it done.

GO FALCONS!!!!!

The MAC East is most likely going to come down to the BG vs. OU game. If BG can finally beat OU (OU has won 4 of the last 5 vs BG) then the Falcons FINALLY set up for a potential trip to Detroit for the MAC Championship. But if OU wins again, the Bobcats will be making their 4th trip to Detroit in the last 7 years.

Typing that last sentence gave you a chubby, didn't it? :)

Hopefully...we won't need the officials to blow any 4th down penalty calls on our behalf down at Athens. I'd like to see us win fair and square...

Kent State is the only other team I can see winning the East. MU, Akron, UB don't have the horses to win the division. UMass? Don't know anything about them. We gotta protect our house or the game in Athens will be for pride. GO FALCONS!
