Recruiting Trip

Make sure to check out bgsufalcons.com...... Asst. coach Nick Monroe takes us on a 14 day recruiting trip with him. Can't obviously show or talk to actual players, but this gives you a "handle" on what's involved with college football recruiting, especially for the asst. coaches. (Exhausting, just to watch this)
One plus (for me at least)...is that he spent several days in the Cleve./Youngstown area, along with coach Durkin who was in the Akron/Youngstown area. I'm still hoping to see BG re establish its presence in NE Ohio. The two top QB's (IMO) already have verballed to N.C. State and >>>>MIAMI. Was hoping we'd get a shot in particular at Tupa from Brecksville (son of former Browns punter Tom Tupa), but he just announced his commit to MIAMI. We DO have ONE verbal so far, a LB from Brush HS E. of Cleve.
I know some of you think I've "overkilled" the NE Ohio connection, but look at our history and you'll find that MOST of our successful teams have had a heavy NE Ohio flavor. By the same token, I'm glad we're hitting SW Ohio successfully...just would like us to get back to some of our best recruiting grounds.
