From the Bleacher Report, here is an article ranking all of the Division 1 football stadiums. There are some interesting comments about some of the MAC stadia...and by the way, we open at the #8 ranked stadium on September 1.

Go Falcons!

"The Glass Bowl is the cream of the crop when it comes to MAC stadiums". LOL. Obviously, they didn't check out the visitors side and the crappy appearance under the stands.

IMO, after the Doyt, the best MAC stadium is Peden.

The only thing I hate about articles like this is that you have to surf through the entire slide show to see it all. Put it on a page that we can scroll through.

It's bleacher report ... which means less research went into these articles as goes into the average high school English paper.

Mike,
They liked Kent's stadium too...while it's better than it "used to be", don't they still have "high school bleachers" on one side?

I enjoyed the fact that while we are the cream of the crop in terms of MAC stadiums, Waldo is far and away the best in the MAC. I always thought "cream of the crop" MEANT the best.

It was a typo ...they meant to call the Glass Bowl "the cream of the crap "

I've never been to WMU or CMU. Of what I've been to I really like NIU a lot. And surprising I liked EMU's stadium a lot, though the lack of video board, clean bathrooms, and fans was noticeable.

As opposed to Marshall where there is a lack of clean fans.

That makes more sense. Of the crappy stadiums we are the best, well ahead of say....

EXACT same thoughts here.

Other than the home of the World Famous Fried Bologna Sandwich - The G&R, I didn't realize there was anything else in Waldo since Groll's Fine Furniture had closed down.

Two words, folks: BLEACHER REPORT

Any time you see a link to that site, automatically assume it was written by a 16 year old.

The only MAC stadiums I've yet to visit are NIU & UMass. I do like UB's a lot except for the end zone bleachers that were installed for the World Univeristy Games back in the early 90's.

Den,
Kent's is much better these days and I'd like to see BG do something like Kent did with the one end zone...
