For all the uniform nerds, like myself. Virginia Tech will wear special helmets against BG, for Military Appreciation day.



Pretty neat. As far as reasons to wear alternate uniforms / helmets, benefiting the Wounded Warrior project is probably the best reason.

Did Va Tech change from Nike to Under Armour?? I think UA has/had an exclusive deal with Wounded Warrior project.

They're still Nike. That same site has the jersey's they will be wearing (white with camo letters). It looks like they are only selling camo hats (sans nike logo) with the proceeds going to, The Wounded Warrior foundation. I think Ohio State did something similar a few years ago with their spring game helmets.

It's nice Under Armour has a deal with them, but I hope universities affiliated with nike and adidas can do things to benefit them.

Yeah the team I work for donned cam jerseys and we tried to donate to WWP but they wouldnt take the proceeds of the jersey auction because they werent UA despite UA not being an approved MiLB jersey provider...

Wow. Under Armour must pay a hefty retainer.

Any one have VTech Tickets (in the BGSU Section) who can tell me the Section, Rows, etc. for BG Fans ??

Someone on here said that Va Tech will don White Jerseys for this game against BG, this means we will wear our Home Orange on the road then I take it. Be kinda nice to see. I'm excited for the new look we are rumored to be getting this year.

The Va Tech gesture is great, nice to see what they're doing, and personally the helmets look phenomenal.

Very cool gesture...I've donated a few times to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Visitor's sections are 19, 39, part of 37, 101, and the top half of the Upper deck in the SEZ (top part of 501-509 or whatever). I do not imagine BG will sell many tickets outside of section 19. And they do odds on one side of the aisle, evens on the other.

So....apprently Va. Tech will be wearing these helmets for the BG game and it will be a white out.

link is wrong, their white out game is Austin Peay to weeks earlier, they will have the Camo helmets for us.
