Go Falcons! This is good, right?

"The opening kick between the Bowling Green State University Falcons and Florida Gators will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 inside “The Swamp”. The first-ever meeting between the two schools will be carried live on ESPN.... "

Great, now I have to decide between sitting around drinking beer or sitting around, drinking beer, and watching Falcon football.

How is your summer going FWF? Spencer finished baseball with the regular season and tournement champion Oak Harbor Ducks team and is making a remarkable transition to goof off 11 year old summer mode and Logan is enjoying the workouts and team camps for his foray into Freshman football. I now have two kegs of beer and one keg of rootbeer on tap at home, doesn't get much better. :drinkers:

I'd go for option 2 there, Pete.
Baseball is winding down, and should be complete before August. The boys schedules are looking pretty sweet for not interfering with Falcon Football.

Hope I get to try a bucket of those suds!

Go Falcons!

Tickets ordered and hotel rooms booked... we'll be making the very manageable drive down to Gainesville. Gonna be a scorching sitting in the mid-afternoon sun, but I definitely like this gametime over a noon start!

CAN"T FREAKING WAIT.

Got two tickets for my Aunt in Gainesville. She is a BG grad and wanted to sit in the BG section. We don't have the means to fly down since we just flew to Fla for spring break. The only way we can go is if I win the contest on the official site. LOL! Otherwise, my arse will be parked in front of the HD big screen in the Falcon Nest for the game. After we win, I will drive to BG to welcome the team back.

47 days...BEAT FLORIDA.

Anyone that wants to tailgate with some Falcons just look for our flags. I work with a recent UF grad so once I get a better idea of our location I'll post it on here if anyone wants to meet up and enjoy some refreshments and Forward Falcons on the iPod. We are staying at the Days Inn about 1.5 miles from stadium- not the best place but good rate and not planning on spending much time in the room anyway!

Looks like the Freak has an excellent chance of making it to Gainesville. Assuming I don't win the contest on the official site...I did find a round trip, non stop flight to Orlando for $265. I can stay at my aunt's house in Gainesville and just rent a car for the 2 hr drive to Gainesville. Cheaper to fly into Orlando than Jacksonville. Tix are in the BG section....

That's a good price for the flight. You may want to look into shuttle service into Gainesvill from Orl. I'm not sure the cost or hassle, but it may be cheaper than the rental.

Thanks for the tip, LB. The flight was priced at $190 the other day but I don't want to commit until we find out who wins the trip. Still, $265 is pretty sweet...
