Umass Game

The site of this game seems to have the athletic department completely flummoxed.
If one looks at the on-line schedule, the game is listed as being in Amherst.

I hope no one goes to Amherst to see the game, because they will be about 90 miles west of the actual site of Gilette Stadium in Foxboro.
Maybe they got it right in the media guide --

Nope.(page 83) They seem to think that a team of civil engineers will be moving Gilette Stadium from Foxboro to Bowling Green.
It's not hard. There are only 12 games. . . .

Thanks for the catch on that. We got the location changed on the website. Our system automatically puts in school locations and we have to manually go back and change the location in a situation like that and we forgot to do so.
Thanks!

In other recent news, UMass researchers have invented teleportation.

Nothing to do with this thread in the "pure" sense, but while looking thru the ALL TIME schedules of teams played, I totalled 33 college teams, plus (in the last category), Lockbourne AFB and at least one other military related team...of course this was before MOST of you were even alive, but it goes back to the late 50's when I was in school.

When the orange and brown take the field in Foxboro what will that bring the total of games played in NFL stadiums to?
Off the top of my head I can think of Cleveland Municipal Stadium, Cleveland Browns Stadium, Riverfront Stadium, and Ford Field. Any others out there? It's also interesting to note that the Falcons have played in the Rose Bowl Stadium.

DD,
Have the Falcons played in Heinz Field? They beat Pitt a few yrs. ago and I THINK that Heinz was already in existence, though not sure. It was one of the few "close by" non-conf. games I missed when getting the chance.

Yes, the win over Pitt was at Heinz Field. Also, they have played Temple a few times at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philly.

I forgot about that. Metrodome makes the list too.

I believe the 1961 Mercy Bowl was played at the LA Coliseum, which of course at the time was the home of the Rams and subsequently the Raiders.

Yep, I saw the Falcons at their best and at their worst in that stadium.

For that matter they also played Temple at Veterans Stadium, back in the day.
