I'd like to see just the Falcon head and no stripe on the white helmets. . . Will we be hosting a "white out" game?

Are these just for practice...maybe to identify a class, depth chart rank, or defense vs. offense? Or perhaps new helmets that just haven't been painted yet?

Looks like they added the stripe. I was kind of hoping there wouldn't be a stripe, but I like the brown and orange on white.

Would wearing purple helmets be considered a dick move?

They are going to wear them in the Florida game is what I am hearing. And they will have the logo on the side as well.

The players seem to like them as well.

Got to admit, I'm a total tradionalist....seeing us in white helmets (unless this is the alternate look) is gonna take getting use to.


But WHAT the heck is going on with the use of BLACK in the coaches' gear, volleyball and soccer teams unis etc.? Are we going back to that old "Adidas doesn't carry brown, so we'll do with black instead"? I'm definitely NOT happy with what I'm seeing...our colors are NOT orange and black, and it ain't Halloween folks!!!!

Sweet...I have a feeling the white helmets will grow on me. Wearing them vs the Gators makes sense. UF's hats are orange. ;0) THREE WEEKS FROM TODAY! Can't wait to get to Gville....beat UF!

These helmets are for the Florida game. Unless you want two teams running around with orange helmets and confusing the QBs, white was the way to go for this game. I don't think you'll be seeing them the rest of the season outside of Week 1.

I've never heard of getting new helmets for one game. Don't a lot of teams have white helmets, with both wearing them at the same time?

Many teams have gotten a new or special helmet for just one game. You can find them throughout the helmet project site. Some use a new helmet for one game each season, while others use it just once and never again.

I hope college QBs aren't confused by helmet color. The OU / Marshall game this year may have 20 interceptions if they are.

BG will be wearing these more than once. Helmets that teams wear 1 time are usually extremely different from their normal helmets...Notre Dame, Ohio State, Virginia Tech come to mind.

I think they'll look sharp with orange pants or orange jerseys, I'm not sure I'd want to see a white out. The orange peekaboo should stand out much better against a white background.

Most QBs look for helmet color when throwing the ball. Its at least what I was taught when I played.

There is a rule against same color helmets, that is why Army rarely plays Navy.
