Ummm....got the BG backpack for being a season ticket holder and it is orange and BLACK. It isn't a pretty sight. I am sick of seeing black in our color schemes. What are we, Oregon State or Ok State?!?!?

Nah...LOL. Going with a white sleeveless BG shirt, brown cargo shorts (I mean black!), a BG bandana and whatever else. It is supposed to be 88 degrees in the Swamp so I highly doubt I'll be wearing a jersey...but taking one just in case.

Good point...and yeah, I'd feel differently. Technically, white isn't one of our colors but I have stuff that is orange and white. The orange and black just bothers me.

How do you like the NEON orange? I REALLY hate it. Gave it to my daughter. The neon orange bothered me more than the black, but only by a teeny, tiny bit. Hated the black too.

BURNT ORANGE AND SEAL BROWN.....PERIOD!!!

Why is this such a hard concept?

Maybe it's just me but I don't think I've EVER thought of BG colors as BURNT orange. I know that's the official color, but when I think burnt orange I think Texas, not BG. Our orange has always been a brighter shade...at least in my time as a BG fan...

Yeah hammb, I remember telling my folks that the official colors are burnt orange and seal brown. To which I got two responses .... THAT is not burnt orange. Texas is burnt orange. And ... what the hell is seal brown? So I guess we are bright orange and brown.

As for the black ... do Nike / Adidas / you name it have much gear available in brown? If not, how much would it cost to order a bunch of gear in brown just for us? Probably way, way, way too much. If we want orange and brown everything, either we need to fork out the cash for special orders or make it ourselves.

If you do a Google Image search of burnt orange you get about 1,000 different shades of orange. As long as it isn't that puke Tennessee orange I am OK with it.

My gift was free. So I'm not inclined to get upset, it could have been purple for all I care.

As far as the black coaches gear etc...I'm pretty sure every coaching staff in the country has black pullovers, shorts, etc. From Roy Williams to Mack Brown. If BG came out in all black uniforms that would be over the top. But, a black pullover? Come on.

Yeah I've never considered what we had as burnt orange, our orange looks nothing like Texas' orange, what is commonly referred to as burnt orange.

Here is my issue with all of this - there are too many shades of every color. Before coming to BG I didn't know there was a seal brown, I thought there was just brown and that was it, its such a dark color I didn't think there could be shades of it. These stupid shades of colors need to go away (for all colors) so we can be just orange and brown

Perhaps it's not the end of the world if our coaches are wearing black gear, but what about our athletic teams? Volleyball Unis have black not brown, not sure about track/cc .....IMO, either our colors are BROWN and ORANGE or they're not! I've mentioned this in past threads over the years....my son, HC of Hudson HS LAX, has told me more than once that Adidas did NOT carry BROWN as one of their "primary" colors...If indeed this is true, perhaps it's time to change to a supplier who CAN meet our needs, not to mention our colors!
