Every topic on this board is littered with how wonderful we played against florida and oh we should have beaten them. I think thats the problem with this team is that everyone is still patting themselves on the back for a great effort in the swamp and meanwhile 4 weeks have gone by and we are getting worse. Yes we played tough but its over and we need to move on and address how we will improve to try and win the MAC east. Seems as if players , coaches and fans are still looking back and saying "hey we played well in the swamp , so we should beat everyone else on the schedule". It doesnt work that way and unless something changes we will still be talking about that florida game as the highlight of the season.

Fact is the rest of the MAC east other than OHIO is beatable and we should be favored in most of the remaining games. However if we keep expecting teams to lay down and hand us wins because we turned a few heads during the first week of the season we will end up with nothing to show for it.

Florida struggled against us yes they did, but they have gotten so much better. They moved on and havent looked back once. We keep looking back and have not moved on at all .

Can't say I disagree with you in terms of the lack of progress, but to say that the rest of the league is "beatable" is a stretch...ALL teams, of course, are "beatable", but take a look at what happened last week in the MAC, N.Ill, Ball State, CMU, posted big wins over BCS teams and even E.Mich gave MSU all they could handle for over 3 Qtrs. MSU "could" have been looking ahead a bit to OSU, but still, EMU has played us pretty tough in recent yrs., despite not being good overall.

The rest of the East is beatable, Ohio included. Especially if Tettleton isn't 100% the rest of the year.

That said...I'm sure glad we got moved back to the East. The West looks brutal, Toledo, Western, Northern, Ball State, even Central. The exact opposite of basketball.

I've moved on...I'm still more pissed about losing to tsun. The first 1/3 of the season is done...let's get it going these last 8 weeks.

Yeah..the Florida game was pretty cool. New uni's...we ran the ball pretty well...stuffed their running attack a bunch of times. Break or two here and there and we win.

I gotta say, seeing Pettigrew score the season's first touchdown was pretty cool. Clawson had such good things to say about the guy and his strong work ethic this offseason. He's had a good season so far. Great to see that in his senior year.
