Le'Veon Bell Almost A Falcon

Post by fredthefalcon »

Interesting article in the Freep yesterday regarding MSU and Big10 leading rusher Le"veon Bell being ready to commit to BG in his senior year just before the Spartans made a late offer after having 3 backs leave. The article basically talks about the fact that more and more programs are getting early commitments so late bloomers like Bell often go unnoticed or are locked out by a full class commitment already. My question is would Bell have progressed as much under our system. Here's the link.

I was watching the MSU OSU game yesterday and Herbstreit mentioned that Bell commited to a couple of schools and BG was one of them. That would have been a nice pick up. Nice win Falcons!!!

Hey Hamjunior, where have ya been? You and your Dad haven't been out to a tailgate in AGES!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

FF,
"Daddy" was at the home opener, parked along the walkway to the stadium where "season tix" parking is located. Got a chance to talk with him and his charming spouse briefly on our walkover to the game. Didn't see him yesterday however. \:D/
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

Another reason to hate Ohio State: Herby said it was Luke Fickell who told Dantonio to go after Bell because they didn't want him for a running back at O$U.

That is plain stupidity........as most coaches would want him out of their league.. There are a lot of stories where one coach calls a coach in another league to get a kid out that they know is good, but don't have room for or have recruited someone else at the same position. Very common in basketball.
