I can live with our team not knowing if we beat Akron it was the program's 500th win, but Dave Clawson better make sure each and every player knows that BG has not won against Miami at home since 1997! Miami has won it's last six games in BG and that streak needs to stop now!

On top of that, its an absolutely huge game. Win it and you're looking at two winnable games vs. UMass and EMU and a 6-3 record. I watched the Miami/UC game last night and Miami's very one-dimensional on offense and Dysert is prone to turnovers. This needs to be an ass whoopin'.

Miami in football is like Akron in basketball....both have simply had their way with BG in BG. Time to end that!

This really has been a strange rivalry since I started following BGSU football. 7 of the 8 games have been won by the away team, and there have been some really unexpected results too, like BG crushing Miami when they were favored in 05, to BG's absolute meltdown in 08 at home giving Miami their lone 1-A win of the season.

Of course, we're going to be dealing with the Family Weekend Jinx on Saturday as well, so to knock out these two hexes at once would be freaking epic.

This is BG's game to lose.

Miami gave up 5.6 yds per carry against UMass, 7.0 against Akron, and 5.4 against UC.

Just run the damn ball.

We gave up our season tix to Miami this year..... all three of us had things change in the last year.... with Nicholas at BG now, its hard to find time to go to Miami alone. But I don't need to attend the Redhawk games to tell you this year's team is awful.

People on hawk talk are miffed at how Miami is that big of an underdog...to be honest I think they're right. BG almost never covers at home.

Probably because of BG's defense...and the Falcons effort against Florida looks pretty damn good right now. Be curious to see how that line moves during the course of the week.

Interesting note ... Dysert has now passed for over 10,000 yards and is a couple of games away from passing Roethlisberger to be the career passing leader at the school. Also of note ... against Cincinnati they had 53 pass attempts and 19 rushes, 3 of which were sacks. That's 56 plays where pass was the call, 16 rush. Our secondary better be ready because I'm pretty sure I know what they plan on doing ...

Would be nice to start generating some turnovers in the secondary Saturday. Only have 2 interceptions this year, and I believe we only had 5 all season last year.
