According to the article, it says we are expected to bring 3000 people. That sounds like a good amount considering all the circumstances.

This rocks!

I believe Miami drew better than 3,000 (for some reason, I have 5K stuck in my head), but 3K is not bad.

And the fact that the game sold out is just plain awesome!

Is that all the falcons that are going?

Just 3,000? :? Man, I hope there'd be alot more around 10,000. Unless there's more BG fans that got their tix from other sources than BGSU. I hope the latter is the case. Is there really alot of alum's in Alabama?

Just 3,000?? This game is 3 days before Christmas, 1,000 miles away, on a Wed night....I think 3,000 is awesome! Just really wish it was 3,003!!! :(

GO FALCONS!!!!! TAME DA TIGERS!

Miami sold 5K tickets and there were approximately 7-8K Miami fans last year. Alot of folks drove in from Atlanta as well as Florida. 3k isnt a bad number considering the date of the game.

You know, it didn't really look like a sellout on TV. Lots of empty seats. Kind of like our home games. :-(

Of course the crowd was easily 3-4 times the size of the empty Ft. Worth Bowl last night. I think ESPN actually went out of their way to avoid showing the stands.

It might have been a sellout, but the stands weren't full, that's for sure. Maybe the weather caused the problem for people.

Thge weather was a MAJOR problem. It rained all day, until about 4pm stopped for a couple of hours and rained the hardest I have ever seen it rain for an hour before the game, and then rained of and on during the game.
I was amazed at how many "local" people attended and stayed for the whole game. It was GREAT!!!!!

I was in Ohio, but that was the impression I got. The 13ABC reporter (Hancock?) said that she had talked to game officials and "they had decided not to cancel the game" so you knew it had to be bad.

From my seats, the stands looked really full but it was all Memphis fans. When I turned around, I saw the BG crowd but they only took up about 3 sections. That rain was something else though so I'm glad the place had the people it had. My favorite part dealing with the rain, the announcer kept saying Ladd-Pebbles Stadium is an umbrella free place. That's how all sporting venues should be!

My strong impression was that the rain prompted the vast majority of locals to stay home and watch on television. It seemed like 90 percent of the fans in the stadium were partisans of one side or the other -- and the Memphis side was much more full than ours.

It was raining very, very, very hard as the game started, and there were occasional flashes of lightning way off in the distance.

As it turned out, the weather could have been much worse. The way the Weather Channel was talking that morning, I honestly expected them to have to clear the stadium when the lightning storm finally hit Mobile. But it never did.

And it was warm -- very warm. I think it was nearly 70 degrees until about 2 a.m. CST, when a cold front finally moved in. Oddly enough, it didn't get cold until about three hours after the rain had moved on and out of town.

yeah, the weather was bad. I do not think I have seen it rain that hard for a game ever. We had some locals sitting behind us & they came to see Omar.

the crowd was not too bad considering the weather.

I think most of the local tickets were for our side since Memphis filled up ther side pretty well.
