A Miami win sends BG into a first-place tie with Kent State. Go Miami!

Just wondering though, does it even matter? Regardless of if Kent State wins tomorrow or not, it doesn't change anything as far as winning the MAC East. If Kent State loses, both BG and Kent St. enter the head-to-head matchup at 5-1. If Kent State wins, BG is a game back but controls their own destiny because they'll have the tiebreak over Kent St.

It would depends on what BG did vs Buffalo, and what Kent State did vs Ohio. Bottom line, you take all help you can and take care of business yourself. A Miami win here helps BG much more than a Kent State win does.

I am pulling for Miami...but if Kent wins, eh. We need to protect our house and not depend on anyone else. Earn it on the field yourself.
BTW, the Miami-KSU game is on Sports Time Ohio at 1 tomorrow...

BG would still control its own destiny, but if KSU loses to Miami(OH), I believe a BG win over Kent would clinch the East right there, making the Buffalo game a moot point.
Of course, the MAC could have a new tiebreaker that puts the top four teams in each division in a blind draw to see who goes first in the tiddly winks contest that decides the order of competition in the underwater basket weaving demonstration to determine the division champion, but I think if Kent loses their next 2, BG is the East champ.

I kind of hope Kent wins vs Miami, although I don't really care much. BG will take care of business next week and take Kent out of the equation and win vs Buffalo for a clean sweep of the MAC East and a trip to Detroit for the first time since 2003.

Kent has gotten better on both sides of the ball each game. We will be in for a tough one next week. Glad we have a 3 day head start on preparation and recovery.

21-0 Kent State. Archer and Dunham are tough pair of running backs. We'll need to make Spencer Keith throw to beat us. Put 8 or 9 in th box and stop their running game.

21-0 KSU with 5:37 left in the first quarter! Kent State is thrashing Miami with their running game and Archer looks incredible! I think Kent State already has over 150 yards rushing midway through the firs quarter and Archer has two TD runs where he has gone untouched. Wow

I hope our entire team and coaching staff are watching this today together.

I have to admit, I haven't really watched Archer much at all this year and but have heard tons about him, but after what I have seen of him in this first quarter alone, I now see what all the fuss is about. Dude is quick and fast as hell!

I've said for a long time the best opponent in the east is Kent, not Ohio. These guys are legit. I don't think Kent has seen a D as good as ours, though.
