Best route to Mobile
Hello Falcon Fans,
Being a man of the roadway, I thought I would help you on your journey to perhaps the best bowl match up of the season.
Now most of you are probably thinking of going 65 through Nastyville, or 75 through ObKnoxiousville, but I have a suggestion...
When you get to Luzerville, KY...and I do mean KY... Try I 64. This will take you into some beautiful countryside. Stay on 64 then 70. The speed limits are mere suggestion here. Let your foot do the talking if you know what I mean. Oh, and take time to see the "Dr. Doolittle's Drive-thru Zoo" in Johnsonville...you'll have time to spare on this route.
Stay on 70 until you reach Salina, then head due South. Here's where the time-saving shortcut kicks in...take state highway 84 East for a bit...just past Mansfield you'll jump back on to the interstate going south. That will take you right into I-10 East, and you'll slide right into the backside of Mobile having missed a whole lot of traffic.
This should save so much travel time for you guys that you probably don't have to leave until Wednesday morning.
