Tickets Sold for Buffalo Game

I know there has been some concern about the the number of fans who will be attending the BG-Buffalo game at Columbus Crew Stadium. I definatley do not want to see 5-6000 fans in a stadium that holds 20-21,000. That would be embarassing. Not to worry on that count. I went on the Crew website and pulled up the seat maps for the entire stardium. The stadium has 55 sections and the average number of seats per section is around 400. Some are larger and some smaller. As of today 20 of the sections are entirely sold out and 8 show only a few scattered seats available. Another 16 sections appear to be about half filled. So, to the best of my ability I figure right now there are about 10-12,000 seats already sold. Most of the areas where few seats, if any, have been sold are in the end zone and around the 10-yard lines. The home side (BG's) will likely be sold out and even the visitors side will have a lot of filled seats. With 6 days to go it would appear there could be a nice crowd of at least 12-15,000. IMO that would not be a bad crowd at all. I was at a soccer game there and they had around 13,000 fans and the stadium looked good. It is a nice place to watch a game, very intimate and has two decks. I wouldn't mind if BG had one like it. I hope that helps update all of you and I hope to see you at the game.

Unfortunately, the team lost today. How many people will now make the trip to Columbus?

Quite a few of us if my talks with folks around me are any indication....and a LOT of AZZer's! If I can travel 2 1/4 hrs. to BG every game, I sure as H..ll can get to Columbus, unless my stepdaughter decides to have her baby earlier than scheduled. \:D/
